Continue to have FFE and FFO blooms. A couple of lights and whites today:FFO Carolina Sugar Daddy: A pretty white:

Ruby Lipstick trio; Pirate King spent bloom dripped on top petal:

Blue Ribbon Rodeo: Starting last year, this has been a wonderful plant. It has made nice clumps, like this photo today, and you can see the instant re-bloom scapes it has put up while still blooming.

Cerulean Warbler: Have to cut the photo down or I get the wrong axis. (vertical not horizontal) Perfect bloom; so glad I didn't lose this plant.

Hot Tamales and Red Hots with Wild One in the background:Can't tell from this angle, but this year, it almost reached the 30 inch height listed for it

FFO: Truly Angelic:

Kansas City Kicker: This one started out with a couple of scapes and blooming away...when almost done, put up re-bloom scapes and there are nine scapes now:

Beautiful! My favorites today are Jelly Roll Morton (what a lovely color and watermark) and Carolina Sugar Daddy. That's one Bob and I intend to get someday. Your Ruby Lipstick is lovely too. Mine never looks that white nor does the red seem that intense. I'm guessing it must be soil or weather conditions. Whistler's Sister is a nice white too.

Ruby Lipstick is my very favorite, and yours looks very much like mine as far as petal color and eyezone. I probably won't see any Ruby Lipstick blooms here for at least another week. I also really like Jellyroll Morton and clumps of Blue Ribbon Roundup and Red Hots and Tamales.

You got me at the Empire Returns (yellow being one of my favorite colors). That's really a nice form on it. Navajo Princess always looks grand and how amazing you got a bloom on her so quickly. They are all quite nice. It always takes me a minute to adjust to the diametrically opposite bloom time between N. America and Australia. We are just starting to bring in the houseplants here in prep for our first cold snap this week-end. All my potted daylilies will shortly be making the shift to a more sheltered location for winter. Debra, I made a bed for the iris just across from the row that now has daylilies. It will be the only remaining iris bed of three after this year. Iris cannot be mulched and the continuous weeding gets to be too much. I will be moving a few of the iris to other places in the garden, in fact, I have already done that to an extent. My gardens change over time, and probably will from now on. Brad, those stinking violets are really persistent, aren't they? I have managed to greatly decrease their numbers, but have to remember to get after every one to avoid seed throwing. Not likely, Kate. I can't get my own finished for the frequent rains which the flowers love, but so do the weeds. Thank you all for the nice comments. Kate and I exchanged a message earlier about this season being so :bloomiferous, but over sooner than usual. I have enjoyed all the clumps this year...spoiled I suspect. kay

There are even a few multis now, yes, Moonlit Masquerade did get moved last year and now it has bloomed. I moved several others last year hoping to improve their areas Precious Liberty was new last year. The hybridizer was from China (thus the name. While it bloomed last year most of the blooms were quite splotchy. This year, so far, they are not splotchy. Free China was another of his beauties. Marseilles Watercolor is a good plant that usually reblooms. Half Moon Key is another really good plnat that just blooms anywhere you plant it. This particular one was dug up and plopped next to the greehouse where it planted itself and has already bloomed while the one in a very good part of the garden has not yet bloomed...who knows why? kay

Blue Ribbon Roundup has flowers under 4"? Blooms all look healthy. Whistler's Sister is more yellowish here.

Thank you all for looking and commenting. Nancy, Julia who wa the president of AHS a couple years ago posted photos of Jelly Roll Morton on her website. Single blooms are pretty, but clumps are stunning, especially when the petals and sepals curve heavily so you see the watermark really well. CSD ha been a good plant here, but Bob Selman's plants tend to do really well here. Debra, Ruby Lipstick was one I fell in love with when you posted it...I always enjoy seeing it bloom. Julia blessed me with the Hot Tamales and Red Hots and the color is really intense. Thanks, Kate. ACtually, Matis, it is supposed to be under four inches, but is a little over furinces here, more like 4.25 to 4.5 consistently. It is also one that blooms really well once established and re-blooms consistently here. Thanks, Sherry, I do too. Brad, I have always liked KCK, don't know if a lot of people do, but it is a pretty bloom and it is currently on re-boom as I said in the post.

Another lovely group of blooms! Blue Ribbon Roundup definitely catches my eye. Very nice clump. I like the look of Cerulean Warbler and Truly Angelic. I am a fan of Kansas City Kicker. Mine rebloomed last summer (its first summer), and just had its FFO here yesterday. Your blooms look great.
