Butcher Block counter / Wallpaper accent wall for office
Comments (12)Hello! Just an update to the original post. My 8.5 month pregnant wife and I put some sweat equity into our new home build today. Peel and stick wallpaper from the Scott Brothers collection. It was not as easy and fun as the all of the YouTubers claimed but we persevered and are happy with the result. Wife gets all the credit. Thankfully we chose an option without a repeating pattern that needed to perfectly line up. 30” base drawer/cabinet on either end of wall with stained butcher block countertop and two floating shelves planned....See MoreWallpaper accent wall
Comments (3)Always better to see the room/to know a bit more Does she like flora and fauna? Or something pictorial? Or funky? Maybe mural would work better on one wall only? Meanwile heard good things about this site https://tempaper.com/. All removable (that's really gold and pink, but they have so many designs there..check them out https://tempaper.com/bird-watching-pink-metallic-gold-bird-removable-wallpaper) or Etsy is good. This lady's shop has very positive reviews. (chose it by the colors only, she has more than 50 patterns https://www.etsy.com/listing/782428452/wallpaper-leopard-dusty-pink-unique?ref=shop_home_active_29&frs=1) But there are many shops there. You can search "wallpaper" or make it more detailed to get more precise results. Check Anthropologie-they carry more and more wallpaper, and I love them for reviews, so one can make up his mind more easily. People usually write detailed reviews there. Service is good too, as a rule. https://www.anthropologie.com/wallpaper...See MoreWallpaper recommendations for accent wall?
Comments (7)I would use this as an opportunity to liven up the room. Something bold, maybe dramatic, maybe fun. Don’t decide on a bigger, more permanent design around a shower curtain that can easily be changed. Examples, scale not exact. Depending on the paper and budget, you might consider doing every wall. I’d get a solid waffle weave shower curtain. https://www.anthropologie.com/shop/nouveau-damask-wallpaper?category=wallpaper&color=001&type=STANDARD&size=One%20Size&quantity=1p https://www.anthropologie.com/shop/inner-beauty-wallpaper?category=wallpaper&color=015&type=STANDARD&quantity=1 https://www.anthropologie.com/shop/waterfall-garden-wallpaper?category=wallpaper&color=018&type=STANDARD&size=One%20Size&quantity=1 https://www.anthropologie.com/shop/pomona-fruit-tree-wallpaper?category=wallpaper&color=030&type=STANDARD&size=One%20Size&quantity=1 I love this one with barn owls: https://www.anthropologie.com/shop/juju-papers-barn-owls-and-hollyhocks-hand-printed-wallpaper?category=wallpaper&color=001&type=STANDARD&quantity=1 Anyway, just some ideas to hopefully inspire, there are so many great choices out there. White or light gray shower curtain would look great with an interesting paper:...See MoreBedroom: Accent wall/paper is black and gold with dark curtains
Comments (15)I would focus on 3 colors predominantly- black for furniture and curtains (existing unless you’re looking to change window treatments too), warm gray for carpet, paint and background colors and gold for accents. I would pull the carpet color from the color of the leaves on the wall paper to tie it together. Same for paint. I’d take one of the colors you like from the paper and match it to paint. I would recommend pottery barn furniture in black - it will look much better than the mid tone gold wood pieces the previous owner had....See Morecarolb_w_fl_coastal_9b
