Entry hallway runner - what size/style would fit best?
Comments (3)Thanks, Jan! I just snapped a couple additional photos showing the area at the front entry in relation to the front hallway where the runner is + a length shot of the runner. I measured from the door to the wall where the hallway starts and it’s 72 in. The length of the door across (not counting the molding on the sides) is 36 in. exactly. And the widest I could probably go without interfering with the air vent is 48 in. But i’m afraid to get one too big so that its too close to the hallway runner. shouldn’t there be some space? what’s the recommendation there? I also measured the width of the hallway and it’s 43.5 in. Given those measurements, do you have a suggestion on which entry rug and runner sizes would work best? Thank you!...See MoreWhich rug is best for my entry way?
Comments (23)I havent asked for advice on whether or not my kitchen cabinets match my flooring. I didnt select them this is the house we moved into and as a “pro”, you must know everyone has a budget they work with and priorities and I’ve only asked which rugs of the ones I selected are good choices not for you to change the look, color and style that I’m going for....See MoreWhat type of rug (e.g. runner, area, runner plus entry mat) is best?
Comments (0)We are building a home with a foyer that is 17.5 feet long and 8.5 feet wide with 11 foot tray ceiling running the same length. We want a runner but wonder if we should save room for an entry mat at the double front doors. Also, we don't know how wide or long the runner should be, whether WITH an entry mat or WITHOUT one. Thanks in advance....See MoreShould entry rug match runner?
Comments (3)I prefer non-matching rugs, too, in most circumstances. I think it looks more interesting and collected, as well as sort of visually defining the rooms (exception being ultra-modern monochromatic homes)....See MoreYayagal
