Love my new 100% POLYESTER Karastan rug for the entry porch!
Comments (11)My3dogs, how cruel of you to not show us your porch after showing us the beautiful rug and gorgeous wallpaper. I hope you'll reconsider and let us see how the two go together and what other lovely things you have there. Wouldn't mind seeing your living room and other areas of your house too! I also have a wool Karastan rug that I've had for well over 20 years and it still looks gorgeous and almost new except for some minor wear on the edges. I'm happy to know that the polyester ones are also good since I had some doubts about them. I love the one you've chosen, being also someone who loves warm colors, although of course always with some cool colors mixed in for contrast....See MoreRUGS! Need help choosing entry rug and runner! What are the rules?!
Comments (3)THE RULE Is don't make a second post!! Go to a real carpet store, ask to see stair runners that come in 36 inch widths.Have it made to the length you need and backed with non skid. Or look at area rugs in 3 x 5 for the entry if that fits.. No doormat sizes. Ready made runners will be too narrow for your space No to the rug under table. You need an 8 x10 and I doubt that fits. Nothing is far better, than a too small rug....See MoreWhat type of rug (e.g. runner, area, runner plus entry mat) is best?
Comments (0)We are building a home with a foyer that is 17.5 feet long and 8.5 feet wide with 11 foot tray ceiling running the same length. We want a runner but wonder if we should save room for an entry mat at the double front doors. Also, we don't know how wide or long the runner should be, whether WITH an entry mat or WITHOUT one. Thanks in advance....See MoreShould entry rug match runner?
Comments (3)I prefer non-matching rugs, too, in most circumstances. I think it looks more interesting and collected, as well as sort of visually defining the rooms (exception being ultra-modern monochromatic homes)....See MoreRelated Professionals
