What to do... weird window nook

Remodeling a small rancher in Charleston SC, Planning on putting in new windows, but there is one area in the front that has a section of vertical painted siding flanked by two windows. I would probably make the entire area a bank of windows, but there is an interior partition wall that would make it very difficult to do. Looking for ideas on how to jazz this area up and make it look less awkward. Undecided as to whether or not I'm painting the brick or leaving it as is. Any suggestions are appreciated.

So there is an interior wall that is making these two windows in separate rooms? Without seeing or knowing anything more, I would brick the white middle space and hang shutters on both windows to make them more substantial. If that is too much money, then I would paint the white middle space to match the color of the shutters and then hang the shutters over it to just have that middle white area disappear into the shutters.

I would make the windows as large as possible in the 2 rooms(I'm guessing) that makes sense to the interior space. The white left on the exterior can the be dealt with to be cohesive with the rest of the exterior.

I would make the sink and slider wall straight across and elminate the bumped in angular wall portion. That way you'll still have an angle with windows by your sink, you can place your dishwasher to the right of the sink and you could have enough room for two islands. Two islands are awesome for entertaining and would really have the wow factor you want, especially if you get creative with the shape and design of the islands. The additional costs you would incur for the plan as it is won't really add as much to the room as two islands would IMO. As it is drawn right now, it makes me think that the kitchen was placed in a room that wasn't originally intended for the kitchen and that you had to accomodate odd wall angles. I like that you're thinking outside the box to achieve a truly custom kitchen - you'll get the perfect kitchen for you in the end!

if you go to all the trouble to take the siding off to really fix this long term. invest in a quality flashing tape, not a cheap brand. I'd hire someone with vinyl siding install experience & have them remove the siding to expose the sheathing of the wall. then hire someone who understands flashing methods. you can learn & show them how to do it properly, and perhaps even the vinyl removal person can do the flashing. best of luck.

"We are in the process of having a privacy fence put in along the back and sides..." That IS a plan. But it's only verbal with no details, so we can't understand its extent, style or details. A major detail is that the other fences are going to be removed and we didn't know that until now. That's a good thing and will make fixing the grade a lot easier. Hopefully, if fixing grade affects any neighboring property, the neighbors will be cooperative.

I agree with Sister Sunnie about a 6 inch seat cushion, but I would also add more depth to the seat so you can sit with your back in the corner (with pillows) and extend your legs towards the camera. If you need to darken the window to sleep, add a simple shade instead of the curtain. I would add a reading light too.

It is what it is. I would paint the white to match the brick.
