Please help with my succulent!! Crassula ‘Blue Bird’ yellowing

I keep this plant on the windowsill with a jade plant, which I trimmed and repotted yesterday. Do you all think I need to do the same to this one?

I think it is a Crassula ‘Blue Bird’. We moved flat recently to a flat with more light so the new spring growth looks really healthy but the under leaves have yellowed. They've been drooping and sagging for a couple months and are now really yellow. Any help would be much appreciated!!!

A bigger pot maybe?

Hi Bethan. Nice plants. I love the pink edges on the leaves.

I'm not one of the more experienced growers here, but I've been helped by many and follow the stories of plants in trouble.

It's much easir to diagnose a plant's problem if we know the climate/area you're in.

And you'll be asked questions and told a few tips on things from the photos. Good photos by the way.

As I indicated I'm no expert, but maybe the problem could be stress from the move?

Generally it's advised not to have plants double potted as it creates a lot of moisture sitting around the bottom of the roots, which succulents don't like.

Questions - what potting mix are they in, how often do you water and how much, eg a little bit or until it flows out the bottom.

Other more experienced growers should chime in. I wouldn't repot yet, if they suspect a root problem they will probably ask you to check the roots for rot and guide you from that.

A month ago I received cuttings which look exactly like the plant the original poster, Lennie, posted about in this thread two years ago. They were given to me as Crassula arborescens from a botanic gardens. I am now convinced that there are several jade plants going under the name of Crassula 'Bluebird', but I don't know how to sort the confusion. You can see one of mine above, in this thread. Another was the one I posted for Nancy standing beside my Crassula arborescens 'Silver Dollar Jade' a week or so ago, and is the one shown here now. The one I showed on the Cacti Gallery in my 'Cabbage' thread was another. Has anyone else got 'Bluebird' jades to show to help sort this out? Opinions would be valued too.

I am a newbie with B.O.P. but mine is doing the same with top leaves. Mine is indoors by a south facing window in the cold months. I am expecting new leaves this spring/summer. I just recently visited a big greenhouse near Greensburg Pa . They had orange trees with oranges on them, and tender Ensete banana trees, Cukes grown verticly with little cukes on them, also big palms. I would just LOVE to have a nice big heated in winter greenhouse and have even a quarter of the tropical plants they had in their greenhouse. I need to play the lottery more often. Well, when I do I never win, maybe Grover Cleveland can give me some money (new lottery game) Moma needs a conservatory, or big greenhouse. Poaky1

Thank you all for your input. I am learning a lot these past couple of days! From advice here and on Reddit, my best guess is that I have crassula arborescens, echevaria roundleaf? sedum clavatum? (the rosette one seems to be the hardest to ID), haworthia reinwardtii, and some sort of sedum, maybe s. talinoides or s. ficoides (it isn't big enough to get a clear ID but I know it's not blue). I messed with them again today and separated the rosettes into different pots and now the silver dollar jade is all by himself, hoping to become a "specimen" one day. I am very tempted to go on ebay and buy a whole mystery lot of cuttings! Succulents are so interesting!

Milton: My husband claimed that at uni, he reached a detente with a family of racoons by giving them part of his sandwich. The family (it's always three of them with the creepy grunting in the dark at night) we now have in the yard do not seem to bother anything, not even the vegetable garden. However, I did have to boot them out from under my wood shop using---sit down for this one---bars of Irish Spring soap shoved generously throughout. The odor is unbearable even to me; and they are more sensitive to it than I am. If that had not worked, I was prepared to drill holes into the floor boards and empty bottles of the same rancid cologne/fragrance oil thing that the vet recommended for my cat who is allergic to bug bites. The substance is so vile to my sinuses, I would have needed to put on my respirator mask just approaching the shop. Kev: Yikes. They like a lot of stuff. We have squirrels here, too, but the brown ones but they only topple pots and do not seem interested in anything I am growing. Also, the tree guy once counted 4 walnut trees and 6 oak trees growing around our property so they scoff at my plants. So caging is not an option? Or drones.

I think it may well be the change to stronger light, but also I don't think Bluebird likes as much light as Crassula ovata, that's my experience, anyway. My Blue Hale and Bluebirds are in filtered sunlight outside. A window could be too bright in very hot weather. Your plant is lovely and looks quite healthy otherwise.
