Kitchenaid, Costco BlueStar or Costco NXR 36" range?
Comments (16)KA 20k btu burners are sealed with a very wide heat pattern. Only very wide pans will capture a good percentage of the heat. Even with large pans the Bluestar will have more power actually making it to the bottom of the pan because the heat is directed right to the bottom of the pan not to the side. Plus the heat will be much more even across the bottom of the pan. KA has a history of blowing fuses during self-clean. Better as of late but still something to keep in mind. With KA you get electric oven features but possible electric oven heachaches and cost of repair with integrated circuit boards etc. I can't find the interior dimensions or the broiler rating for the KA but with the BS it will fit commercial baking sheets and you get a very powerful broiler too....See MoreWarning Re: Costco Appliance Returns
Comments (3)It was a washing machine. Not a fun item to move in and out of a basement. Seven years ago. For our new build, we've ordered mostly Bosch from Best Brand Appliances, as recommended by our designer. German names seem to impress buyers. And Best Brand salespeople were not into up-selling. What a pleasure!...See MoreTo Costco, or not to Costco?
Comments (66)We don't have BJs around here, just Sam's for a long time and Costco arrived a few years ago. Is BJs virtually the same in price, products, and policies? I never joined the Sam's because is was not convenient, and just not nice inside, kind of gloomy! The Costco is a nice experience to get to and shop in. Leaving is a pain with their checking your receipt, card, and cart, ugh. Just let me go! Re: the Sam's Club, why does the notice on the door say they will reopen the next day? Comments (7)We went with a different product from Mannington. Adura Max, Aspen Alpine and Lakeview Rapid. Bought it online at 3.09/sqft shipping and tax included. To be installed next week. I thought the Costco product was almost as high quality. But I missed the sale and would have had to get the product from a few different stores as none had enough in stock. Shipping was expensive if I went that route. No one was sure if they getting more in stock and parts like stair treads weren’t available. I also couldn’t get as detailed specs as I could for Adura. So I paid a little more for one if the more popular brands. If I only needed a few hundred sqft or was only doing one room, I’d have no problem with the Costco brand....See More- 8 years ago
