Holly trunks fused or chafing?

brackerva

I just had four large Nelly Stevens hollies installed in my yard at considerable expense. One of them has three trunks that are pressing against each other for about the first 3 feet above the ground (see images). They are so tightly packed together that they don't seem to separate if pull on one above the point where they separate. I often read that crossing branches that rub against each other lead to wounds and disease. Should I worry about the health or longevity of this tree? Could these have fused together so that it is essentially one trunk?

If this is unhealthy, I'm thinking of asking the landscape company to replace this one tree.

Thanks!
