Comments (15)The one on the right with the white centre may or may not be one of the following: Pole Cat, Risky Business, Stripped Naked, White Bikini or White Line Fever, Lap Dance...all with white centres... just to start you off looking at some similarities...there are so many, as Ken mentioned. I, too would encourage you to take Paul up on his generous offer to help you identify your hostas. What a prince! :-) Striptease multiplies rapidly so don't be afraid to take divisions if you plan on selling some. Its growth next year will surprise you....See MoreShow us your Striptease...sport!
Comments (21)No worries, Jo, I wanted to see striptease, too! I've been trying to decide between Striptease and Kiwi Full Monty. They really seem to look alike at the end of the season if not in mostly shade anyway. Some pics I see are dead on the same and others show more of the blue in Kiwi. Looks like the decision was made for me, though, cause I wanted to put in one last order to Hallson's and they were out of Striptease, so Kiwi Full Monty won by default. I was and still am interested in seeing others out of this family, as well. Thanks for posting Obscene Gesture, hadn't seen that one at all. Leaflover & Hillbilly, thanks for the pics! I am just loving these and I have a feeling my collection of this family will grow over the coming years....See MoreNeed help ID'ing
Comments (25)Beth, I went through Don R. Fragrant list and looked at a couple, like Sweetness for example...but am not familiar enough with a lot on the list to zero in on particulars that may fit the bill. If you have the time and inclination, you could go through one by one, narrowing the field by eliminating obvious references to names like "blue" or "gold" etc. Chances are you might find it. :-)...See MoreNeed help to ID this old European rose
Comments (54)Another sad update, my cutting didn't make it :( We had a day where some rain blew under the verandah where they were and the soil must have gotten a touch too damp, because it started to go brown a few days later. All the other cuttings I had in the same spot were fine and are all leafing up nicely, such a shame! I'm actually about to move to NZ (long story...) and while I'm devastated to leave the roses here (especially my Teas), I'm sure there will be lots of rosy opportunities in NZ! I'm going to create another thread asking for recommendations for a slightly colder zone, as I have never had to deal with frost before! I can only hope that this Rookwood rose recovers from its brutal pruning and shoots again next year, perhaps I'll get some holiday time to come back and check on it!...See MoreBabka NorCal 9b
