Thanks so much, Lori, for sponsoring the "Tampa Swap". I really enjoyed meeting and putting faces to those I follow on GardenWeb. We stopped at Crowley's on our way home and all I can say is, WOW!!! We met Kathy Crowley and she helped us with our selections and then squeezing them into the car. It was almost as neat as the swap. I got a couple of vines I had been looking for. I feel like King Midas with all his gold with all the neat and unusual plants I got at the swap. When we got home it was raining pitchforks and so we got up early this am, before light almost, and planted the bareroot stuff. The stuff in pots is going to have to wait until about Tuesday if the weatherman knows what he is talking about. But I am not complaining about the rain. See you at the next swap! Bill

So sorry to hear he is in such discomfort. Wishing the best for the change in treatment. Last year around this time, my DD's good friend was going thru the same thing and due to an infection while her system was so low, we almost lost her. Many people on this forum were wonderful in their support at that time and I really believe all the positive energy helped her pull thru. She is now back at school (part time) and talking about taking part in a 24 hour relay fundraiser for cancer in the spring. Life is never the same for these kids, but their strength and resilience is amazing. I will pray for the best for your grandson.

Oh boy! I remember when my kids had to bring home "baby". They had the car seat and whole smear. It cried and you had to hold the key in it for "feeding". I can't remember everything but that darn kid was heavy to hold too! LOL It wasn't a light weight doll like Madison has, I think they filled it with sand! The kids found out that sitting in bed, holding a key in the baby's back was tough at 3am!

Thank you for updating us, it's good to know your grandson is on the road to recovery. Also good to know he is taking this 'lesson' to heart! ! And to be perfectly honest, I have learned from this, too! It never occurred to me that minor scrapes & scratches can be so dangerous! I have reached the age where my skin is thin, very thin! So I am forever getting little nicks and tears, especially on my arms. Sometimes I don't even notice them until I find some dried blood dripped somewhere. (I am on blood thinners, so there is always a lot of blood with even very small skin tears.) Then I just wash them of & go on with what I was doing. But from now on, the wasting off will be followed by antibiotic cream & a Band-Aid! And by the way, Anglophilla, Band Aids were causing bruising and skin tears on me, too. I found the Band Aid brand 'Comfort Sheer' comes off pretty easy. And something I learned from a nurse after my second cataract surgery, gently massage some type of oil into the bandaid and it will come off very easily. In fact, the Comfort Sheers will almost fall off! I think any type of oil or lotion will work, the nurse that used this method on me was using what looked like hand lotion. I've used Vitamin E oil because that was what was handy at the time. I just wish I had known this trick 50 years ago, when I had a house full of growing boys! ! Rusty
