Eyebrows
Comments (28)I have naturally medium brown hair, but my eyebrows are black. I've thought about having them lightened a bit, but am too lazy to keep it up. They used to be perfectly arched, but as Oakley mentioned, mine too have become a bit sparse in recent years at the outer edges. And like you, Oakley, I tried using eyelash serum on them, only to have crazy eyebrow hairs sprouting noticeably outside my eyebrow line! Never apply that stuff before you go to bed for the night! I think that caused it to spread. Ugh! And so, black eyebrow pencil looks too harsh, and the dark brown looks too reddish. I'm forced to seek out the hard to find blackish--brown pencil. Still not perfect, but it just makes me very careful when using it....See MoreTattoos anyone?
Comments (139)I saw a man on a cruise once, who had the most beautiful tattoos. They all looked like they were done by the same tattoo artist, as every tattoo was done in very, very fine lines, in black ink, almost like a sketch. The lines were so fine, I can't envision his tattoos becoming blurry black blobs, over the years. They were all very detailed renditions of ancient cathedrals and universities. I recognized some of the European ones, while others appeared to be places in maybe India, Indonesia or China. I complimented him on the beauty of his tattoos and he thanked me, telling me he had drawn each sketch himself, then had an excellent tattoo artist make them permanent keepsakes. While traveling around the world, he had sketched his favorite buildings, most of which happened to be very old places of worship. I said he was quite the artist, for being able to draw such precise sketches. He laughed and said, 'I wish I could call myself an artist and could pay my bills that way, but I had to become an architect instead.' His choice of tattoos made perfect sense to me!...See MoreHow do you fill in your eyebrows so they don't look fake?
Comments (38)I use the Clinique brow shaper (like an eyeshadow) with a angled brow brush and spoolie. I need to shape, fill in and make my brows larger, longer than they really are. I use a qtip with a little bit of lotion to clean up or take off anywhere there's too much or I went too high or too low etc. Powder helps tone them down too. (I have black eyebrows) I've used the Clinique brow shaper for 20+ years...I've recently bought a brow pencil by Benefits, it's a thick angled retractable tip, it's a hit n miss, I need more time when I use the pencil...I can get consistently good results with the brow shaper compared to the pencil. I can only compare to this particular pencil, but the powder type stays better for me. The pencil rubs off more easily....See MoreUpate on a product...eyebrow products suggestions?
Comments (19)I know the putty threw me off in the name but the putty is squalane which is an oil and it's infused in the cream. It helps makeup stay in place and there are other benefits to squalane also. It's actually thinner than a bb cream but gives better coverage, and because it goes on white somehow I still had the same color skin. BB creams come in different shades. The exceptional coverage is like foundation but not at all heavy. The trick is using a flat concealer brush swiping back and forth, up and down until those pores, bumps, etc. are covered. I watched some videos and all the womeb them were using their fingers and covering their whole face at the same time. I was proud of my flawness nose, especially looking into a x10 magnifying mirror. lol I covered every bad flaw one at a time. Use less a tiny bit at a time & keep blending until you're satisfied. I had the dewy look I've been wanting but never found the perfect product. My eyelids looked at least ten years younger with hardly any crepe or under eye wrinkles....See More- 8 years ago
