how much of this wall would you tile for backsplash

The pictures are a little hard to show bc of angles and darkness (lights not fully on). I have a “nook” that is hidden from view when looking into the kitchen from the rest of the house. All the rest of the kitchen backsplash is contiguous, but then the fridge wall is all cabinets and then this nook. I need to decide how much of the two side walls of the nook to tile. I am thinking the back (fridge) wall both above and below the shelf, but no idea on the side wall adjacent to it (the wall that then turns 90 degrees into the dining room). I figure I can do a) none, b) just up to the shelf level, c) just up to the cabinet, or d) all to the ceiling. Note on the other wall it will be up to the cabinet except above the sink when it will go to the ceiling (surrounding the window). It will not go above the door. Hope this makes sense...
