Where did you get your backsplash tile?
Comments (13)I purchased mine from a big box store. It's not put up yet, but I think it's beautiful. I also went to a local tile store looking for black tile to mix in with the other tile and I was given some granite tiles free left over from a job they had recently completed. I wanted it to be a cheap, but beautiful backsplash!...See Morebacksplash ... how many rows of glass between subway tile?
Comments (15)rufinorox, have you considered how the dimensions of the tile would work with 2 vs 3 rows? will you have to have a row at the top of just a sliver of subways with one configuration and not the other? You must be so proud being able to say it is DIY!...See MoreOld tile to new subway tile on backsplash
Comments (13)This is great, thanks so much for the feedback about the soapstone. This let me get to 2x6 as choice - it didn't seem too skinny-- if anything 2x4 seemed too small for a kitchen (personal choice). 2x6 might also make things less busy if you have multi-color and that's a concern. (Noted that layout detail such as near kitchen window and grout color are very important.)...See Moreathensmomof3
