What siding colour to match red/orange/black brick?
Comments (5)I usually like a color scheme like this for brick it complimants the brick nicely. IMO you need a new front dooe I don’t think that one suits the house.just plain glass no grids would be better I would also paint the garage door the same as the siding. The shutters are actually the wrong sixe nad i would remove them for painting anyway and see if you like it better without them. A nice walkway from the road to the front door is always a nice addition tocurb appeal with some good landscaping/...See MoreMatching Brick and Siding colors
Comments (9)It'd be easier to make the roof color and siding color decisions if you obtained samples of the ones you are considering, then prop them up next to the brick for a couple days. The brick will probably go just fine with two or three siding colors in the yellow beige/tan range. You can upload a link or two to the siding brand and roof brands you are considering....See MoreSiding, roof, shutter colors on orange brick house
Comments (22)Thanks Maureen! I don't intend to paint the brick or porch. If we redo the porch in the future, we'd get a non-red color. As for the mulch, I'm definitely planning dark. Maybe a dark brown, maybe a black. I think cypress might pull too much of the red? Not sure. We also planted a row of tall white daisies all along the front of the porch to help break up the red. We were able to match the grays in person with Mastic Victorian Grey so that is what we have ordered. We will have shake style on the front gable and traditional horizontal siding on the gables on the sides and back. We need to finalize roof and shutter colors. I am about 80% sure we are going with the landmark pro moire black roof. I get what you're saying about the shutters, but there does appear to be discoloration behind them. I'm thinking board and batten style shutters in medium grey. Then I'll be looking into the trim and door painting. Thinking white trim (currently cream) and a bright tealy blue for the door....See More1970s yellow brick with brown house needs updating
Comments (15)I think those grays are too dark, & white mat be too bright( for garage doors). Something softer but maybe creamy or tawny. Because the garage is prominent and not so great to emphasize the doors. More make it look like part of the house mass and balance with landscaping and front door. I usually am wary of mixing gray with yellow because the grays are often too cold- though there are some classic yellow, gray and white color schemes. Maybe a light greige as Patricia showed. I don’t care for the garage, gables and roof all dark— it’s as though the rest of the house is a tiny blip. Maybe continue with some of the visualizations, going closer to the brick color but not exactly. Or if it’s easier, use a paint company app and pretend your brick is paint so you find something close to that color in the deck , and put in gables & trim & such in various colors....See Moredecoenthusiaste
