Landscape Design Design Dilemma Exterior

What siding colour to match red/orange/black brick?

I want to change the siding to match the red brick, but don't want to change the windows. 3 walls will be changed. The frontage is the only wall that is bricked.

The roof has already been updated (black/dark grey mix). I'm looking for advice on the right colour of siding to refresh the look of the house. Any ideas?

I usually like a color scheme like this for brick it complimants the brick nicely. IMO you need a new front dooe I don’t think that one suits the house.just plain glass no grids would be better I would also paint the garage door the same as the siding.The shutters are actually the wrong sixe nad i would remove them for painting anyway and see if you like it better without them. A nice walkway from the road to the front door is always a nice addition tocurb appeal with some good landscaping/

Well -- it honestly depends on whether or not you want the house to "stand out" from the garden or blend in .... you could consider a darker color -- like gray or even an olive green! Or a simple fresh white! My little house (with its horrible orange-toned brick) has olive-green-painted siding with my black front door (and black plant pots filled with herbs! LOL!) Just a thought! NewHB: Thanks!! The flowers and herbs (both in pots and in the garden) have actually managed to stay alive this year -- thanks to slightly cooler (and now chilly! LOL!) temperatures around Dallas! The silk flowers in the large half-basket have been replaced with fall ones -- always a nice change! Of course the front door area is now filled with spooky Halloween decor! LOL!

What color roof and siding would work well with a red brick front

I would say either Driftwood, Estate Gray or Onyx Black based on your brick color, although it's hard to tell the colors in the brick from your photo. The roof color you choose would impact the siding and shutter colors. When you do the shutters I would not reinstall them on the double windows under the porch. Odd that your lantern lights at the front door are not mounted at the same height. I would correct that. New ones should be 1/3 the door's height. You might consider picking a darker gray from the stone and painting the brick that color to unify the house. You should be able to find a brick that is close enough in style to replace the medallions before you paint it all one color. Check out Romabio for new high tech masonry paints and washes with less maintenance. Once the body of the house is gray, the white trim will be ideal. What are you thinking regarding landscaping? I would certainly remove those two tall bushy shrubs in front.

I agree, either remove your shutters or replace the existing shutters with ones that are sized right and appear functional with hardware. Your current shutters are way too small in width and too long for your windows.
