Tracey- I love that light fixture by the way. It is similar to one I am thinking of (though honestly, I think yours is more interesting..)and finally a tile decision!!!! WAy to go. As I said previously, I don't think you could have made a mistake with ANY of the contenders. I did go back to your original post just to "re-familiarize" myself with the winner, and I can see why you picked it. I think you will be delighted with it. I looked at the link you gave, and of course I have not seen the stuff IRL or spent the time looking into it, but I thought that some of the borders they had in that line looked quite nice as well. (are they the ones you are thinking of or is it a different one with mixture of noce etc?). Again I have not seen any of these IRL(except of course for the monocibec, daily:)but I did love the versailles one with those glass tiles that Blondell posted. However, it was my experience when I did my time looking for kitchen backsplash - I loved when I saw the glass tiles folks were posting on here, loved them in the stores... but when they came home with me... they stuck out not in the good way, but kind of like "why did she use them along with everything else?". I tried to find the specific ones in that post, and am not sure which ones they are because they are gorgeous and would consider using them as some sort of accent or border... but I think that what you are contemplating will be gorgeous, and RIGHT for you and your home. Enjoy the decision being made. (and sometimes, having a constraint like availability in a time frame is a good thing for indecisive types like myself and many others here). GREAT CHOICE!!!

Where do I start?? I love your colorful, cheerful, fun laundry!! I could never have envisioned those tiles laid. and painting the cabinets just made a night and day difference. Then you went above and beyond with the wall treatment--love it!! Beautiful house, beautiful boys! Must also comment on your finger. Was it diagnosed as arthritis or is that just an assumption? I ask because it sounds like my middle finger. I developed a "trigger finger" after a project that required much repetitive motion. If so, it is treatable. Thinking of you and your little one and will be watching for more pics of your projects! Liz

I brought a sample home from Home Depot and could scratch it with my fingernail. Having said that, we went with a different brand as mentioned in my earlier post. it has a 5 mil wear layer with some kind of cerama beads, (I forget all the lingo I learned when researching ours). and I have never found a scratch on ours. We put it throughout our 1,000 sq ft cabin and also in our TV room at home. We have a 10+ lb. cat that tears around like a maniac. All claws intact. The wear layer is very important. It is recommended to put felt pads on all furniture feet. Makes for very easy moving of chairs etc. anyways. That way you shouldn't have to worry about scratches so long as there is no sand or stones lingering on the floor. But the felt pads would help minimize a problem anyways.

Thank you jdesign_gw! These tiles are truly unique in that so many different patterns can be achieved. That thickness is much much better! Looks like HD have these porcelain tiles in black and white only, no colors though, sigh....
