a dark color

It looks great - but if that is not your style, stain it with a darker color and start planting along those new walls to help soften it. Never paint, ( because that would involve yearly / constant maintenance).

Personally, I love it, but if you do anything I would just stain the deck & leave the fence as is except for a clear wood protector product.

Try forest or Charleston green. Buy small can of stain and paint a small section to test.

It’s really subjective ... personal taste. And hard to say with no context — your house color, the yard around it, your decor likes, etc. So many directions you could go with this.

I think doing the posts in a darker stain and fence panels/deck in lighter stain would look nice.

I also like the idea of multi-colored stain for the deck part only, but it could look busy. If you consider it, then I’d pick one color from your multi, for the fencing.

Hopefully, someone who can do color mock-ups sees this. If not, you might want to try Sherwin Williams, Benjamin Moore, etc, and see if they could do some color mock-ups for you. This is a big job, I’d just want to get a good visual idea before starting. It’s beautiful work already — hope you update us, I’d like to see how it all turns out. :)

Dark with light accents ... not what I’d choose with as much wood as you have there.

Start by staining the deck a very dark brown. Live with it for a week and if your still bothered by the natural wood fence then stain it to match. if you want color variation do it with plants or cushions. You stay versatile this way.

Looks lovely the way it is. I would just add some colour in a waterproof outdoor rug, Plants and cushions. It will look amazing by just doing this and less woody. Also add outdoor likes to the fence etc and maybe add a trellis. That will break up all the wood. If your wanting to protect the wood, Just get a sealant with no colour
