Please Help! need to get oil off fireplace.

Today my toddler took a crayon to the hearth which is like a cast stone material. I googled how to remove crayon and read to use goo gone and without thinking put it on and then realized I made a worse mess. I scrubbed it with dawn and water and then sanded it with sandpaper (which should have been all I did) but the oily stain remains. Please advise me on what to do now.

Maybe someone here will have the answer. If not, I would get on internet and find a company that sells cleaners for stone products. I just did some googling, and found the Cast Stone Institute that has all sorts of documents on line.

This is my first year growing bananas but from what I've read they like rich, well drained soil, lots of ferts and water during the growing season. I ammended my mostly sandy soil with some peat moss, finely shredded leaves, homemade compost, alfalfa meal (fertilizer), and some Soil Moist crystals. Racket: I have all these very heavy flagstone pieces on the box, so I guess it takes some time to lift them up and clean the whole thing out. Who knows?! Viennamommy: the automatic cover IS like a garage door opener; very simple; takes about 20 - 30 seconds. When it's open , you can't even tell it's there, because of the installation being done at the time of the pool build. No regrets, just the hassle of the leaves due to where we placed the pool (our bad, I guess!)

Partim had it above...... embellished below You decorate/arrange for MOST of the time....... four chairs will easiiy go around the table. Float and forget the rest. Go get a big pouf cocktail table, or a round glass top to fight all the rectangles in the room. Get an inexpensive 5 x 7 rug, or a great faux hide rug! Snug the table to the wall...... add a great big piece of art or even a mirror !It is what it is. When you can lose the loveseat? Lose it.! And you will lose a " visual wall" : ) You can angle those for conversation and walk right through. Doesn't matter...this is what you have now. And it fits. Just make it work . If it is two of you dining MOST of the time......you don't worry on the rest of the time where you might want six. This is why god invented "buffet style". Bottom line is you are both "over " and under furnished. For the moment. lol

Agree with gracie01. Move TV to console on left of FP. Make sure the console is at least 2/3 the width of the space from the corner to the FP and center it in that space. Hard to tell but I think I would go with a much larger rug so the recliners are on it or pull the recliners in so the walkway is behind them
