Where Do You Store All Your...........?
Comments (15)My foil and film sit out on the stainless steel workbench. I buy them in the professional size at the bar supply (lasts for years that way), and they're really too large, too heavy to get in and out--you do have to have an accessible place where they can stay out. The other things--parchment, waxed paper, boxes of plastic bags, etc, are in a shallow drawer where they lay in a single layer, are easy to see, and easy to get out....See MoreWhere/how do you store plastic containers?
Comments (22)I went to glass storage. They can be used for baking/casseroles and not have to change out if there are leftovers. Most of these fit inside themselves, the lids are on each bottom, then stored on top of each other (?). I also love French glasses with lids for leftovers. Always clean looking and work in the microwave. But even with these you have to be careful the lids match correctly if a different manufact. I do have disposable PCs (cottage cheese, butter tubs) just stack within themselves. At least the lids have info on them to match easily. Friends/family would complain that they had to bring back my glass storage and it was easier for them just to head out with a carton/lid that could be tossed....See MoreWhere do you store your reusable shopping bags
Comments (30)Most of mine live in the car. I live in a condo, so I'm not making a special trip out to the car (down a flight of stairs, out the building, and walking halfway around the building to the assigned parking spot) just to put the bags back. I fold them so they all fit in one bag, then hang them on the doorknob of the front door and take them out to the car the next time I leave. I have one bag hanging in the broom closet for returnable bottles, which I mostly remember to take with me when I head to the supermarket. I return the bottles and then use the bag for groceries. I have a small nylon bag, that is the size and shape of a plastic grocery bag, that folds up into its own little pouch. That lives in my handbag, ready for any spontaneous, impromptu purchases....See MoreStoring plastic grocery bags
Comments (21)Ikea has a product that allows you to store plastic bags in there. I do like it. - I have to say that I'm from Ontario where one has to pay 5 cents per plastic bag - its to encourage the public to resort to using reuseable bag.. It hasn't really eliminated the use of plastic.. In fact, it would seem that I own more than 20 reusable shopping bags because each time I forget to bring my plastic bags I go buy a new reusable bag....See Morebreenthumb
