can i move daffofils and irises now?
Comments (3)I'm not sure about the daffodils, but I've found irises can be moved pretty much anytime. For me they hardly even notice if there's little root disturbance during the move even when they are actively growing...See MoreWhen do I move crocus that have bloomed?
Comments (3)If most of the leaves are yellow, you can move them. You might have to delay your annual planting by just a couple of weeks. Or, if you dig up a nice big clump of dirt with them, still waiting as late as possible, they might do all right, even if the leaves are still green. Crocus are shallower than many other bulbs, so it should be easier to get your shovel under them. Good luck. Hepatica...See Moremoving siberian squill (scilla sibirica)
Comments (4)taking care to move them with lots of soil, I don't know just where you are planning to move them to, but if moving them with soil to a prepared bed, I would be afraid of accidentally moving some grass (or grass roots) with them....something you won't be able to get out of a bed without digging carefully, or spraying later. Under the circumstances if they are going to a weed free bed area, I would take less dirt, and not risk planting anything undesirable along with them.....but that's just me and my fear of undesirables...I could go on and on about that...lol Sue...See MoreHelp with pulling and storing daffodil/allium/tulip/scilla
Comments (2)You could just leave them in their pots. Put them somewhere that's not too baking in the sun hot and then either plant them out in the fall or start watering them in the fall. For the ones who's pots you'd like to use, take the bulbs out of the soil and store them in either a mesh bag or paper bag. Keep them in an airy, dry spot in either a garage or shed (not inside in the airconditioning) and remember to replant them again in the fall. Good luck!...See Moreposierosie_zone7a
