HELP WITH CURB APPEAL AND EXTERIOR COLOR SCHEME
Comments (12)Yes to painting the shed to match your house. But do not highlight the white trim. ALL one color. And remove any “cute” embellishments. Your home is modern. The shed shouldn’t look “country.” And Yes to NO Shutters. Finally…trim up the tree but leave it there. Before you sell, ream out any drain lines that might be compromised. (And certify that they are “clear” for the buyer.). Let the buyer decide about the future of the tree…which is NOT that close to the house. Focus on simple basic landscaping in the front and along the walk. Nothing extreme. Again…let the buyer do that. Maybe a pot on the front porch planted with annuals. Mulch with brown mulch, not strange color OR stone. Leave future decisions to the buyer....See Morehelp with curb appeal
Comments (4)You could use a bit more landscaping, and one, at least, small flowering tree in the front yard, for interest. I had to look very hard to see your chairs on the porch. They need to be brighter, or at least have some nice bright cushions on them. Your paint is fine. It just needs personality. Remove those green balls of shrubs, and put some pretty perennials in there, both green, and flowering type....See MoreHelp with Curb Appeal
Comments (5)Would be helpful to see a photo from further away. I see no walkway leading to the porch. Consider removing the 2 shrubs at entryway and landscape a path off the entryway out about 15 feet leading to a circular large planting bed which might include a tree, bench sitting spot, and flowers. The light above entry seems wrong for placement so when budget allows consider getting new lights located each side of entryway....See MoreHelp! Need curb appeal update!
Comments (5)Yeah, that yellow is a misfit with your home. And I also agree with changing the color of the shakes in the gable, or maybe even removing the shakes to put siding there. (It is typically advised to have no more than 2 different types of surface on a home, and those shingles make 3 for you. That we can see, anyway.) The brick looks good. I’d pick a soft cream color for the siding but make sure it isn’t yellowish....See More- 6 years ago
