I'm looking for something sort of modern but not too modern in fabric on the light to med color.

Usually adding a picture of your furniture in place will help to get better advice..leather furniture is kind of slippery for throw pillows to stay in place...so if the purpose is decorative and not function I would look for other ways to add interest or color...perhaps throws?

I am not a fan of sofa/loveseat combo...for a number of reasons, but mostly because I don't want to sit that close to anyone and try to have a conversation. I find it awkward. Two chairs would be my choice. This chairs gets very good reviews and you can't beat the price. Comes in tan leather and black.
