Comments (11)Thank you so much everybody! First I will change the mat color in DS's pictures. I think I have some but if not, out come the paints! Next I'm going to look for some more casual pictures of him and probably change one to someone else. I can see how the hunt scene doesn't tie in with the others so I've an idea. I have some really good photos from a civil war re-enactment on horseback that I will frame to see if it ties in more. I do want to expand it a little so the Church painting won't seem so stuck on. I have a long skinny black table that I'm thinking of putting there. It is much wider than the hutch base. Most of these are hung with the 3M strips so re-positioning them will be fairly easy. I love those things! Thanks again, I really appreciate everybody's eye and comments. :) Patty...See MoreNeed advice on Frigidaire Gallery Front Load Washer Model# FWT 449GFS2
Comments (9)Joe Henderson, Could you please tell me what the "spider" at the back is and what it does. We re leveled the machine AGAIN only to have it rock and roll and become unlevel. Looking at the struts I see there is a fair amount of light colored oil on the struts and wonder if that is normal or could that be part of the problem. Are the struts like shocks on a car and wear out? Even if I remove the counter, replace the machine with a new free standing unit, it would extend an additional 5-8" into an already tight area. Thanks Inga...See MoreSeeking advice on doing a gallery wall on a staircase
Comments (6)I have one, I started at the bottom and worked my way to the top. I used identical frames, in varying sizes. I think it tends to gets busy/messy looking if you either don't match the frames or if art is mix and match in theme. Mine are all family photos in black and white, starting with wedding photos and working up the stairs is the progression of our family with newborn and 1-year pictures of baby 1, 2 and then 3. They are now 13, 12 and 8 so I love admiring their baby pics every time I go up the stairs. I will say, in a high traffic, narrow staircase, be prepared for them to get knocked around here and there. Especially if you'll be going up and down with a laundry basket, etc. Be sure to use good hardware for hanging. It looks like a newly painted stairway (what color? Love it!) so definitely take the time to use paper and cut to size and tape it up as a mock gallery, with painters tape before lifting a hammer. The last thing you want is holes and spackling after you decide the layout you chose wasn't measured right or looks too busy with the spindals. etc. Also, if it's a new build, wait until all upstairs furniture is delivered and in place before you start this project. Movers are NOT the most gentle to your walls! In your space I think a few larger prints in larger format will look better than many smaller ones. It's a narrow staircase and you don't want to detract from your beautiful railing and woodwork....See More
