Dining room accent color - Eggplant vs Cobalt vs Teal
Comments (12)I definitely think you need a warm color. Of course, an eggplant, berry or wine would be my choice, but the blues and greens are lovely together and sort of cancel one another so that the whole project shines, and no one color powers over the other....See MoreLiving room Wall color - accent or no accent?
Comments (2)You have options! An accent wall can be a great way to accentuate interesting architectural features. Pulling the dark smoky blue from your dining room onto the living room wall furthest from the dining room would help blend the spaces while balancing the visual weight of the saturated color. Painting the wall adjacent to the dining room in that color might create a density on that side of your blended spaces. The alternative would be to pull that blue in in accessories. Best of luck with your project!...See MoreDesign Dilemma: Style & Colors for Kitchen Remodel, yes? Accent color?
Comments (25)My3dogs, yes I’ve changed my mind on the turquoise, or at least this ribbon. :) Yes, I agree. With chalk painted cabinets I don’t care for the ribbon with it. But if the cabinets were solid white and the walls pale turquoise, I’d like it. I just don’t want white. In my experience white cabinets don’t hold up as well. Pale gray may work. But again, this ribbon would be like putting chrome next to brushed nickel. ;) When I say farmhouse, I’m not going for full out farmhouse look. Just a nod....See MoreHelp selecting art and accent color for living room
Comments (29)A "gift" from your parents in the sense that they had the furniture in their house and passed it onto you? Just wondering as the dining furniture has the same style as the livingroom. Or is it a case that your taste are now changing compared to when your parents bought you the furniture and now your taste is evolving? Would you be able to paint the living room chairs and re-upholstered them to make them more modern as I think once you get your tulip dining table you are going to see that it isn't the cohesive look you are trying to achieve between the rooms unless you really mix it up....See Moremystarz
