Comments (7)I agree, except about using a second oven as a warming drawer. Some ovens don't go low enough to be used as a warmer. Our last house had double ovens that had a bread proofing mode, and also would go as low as 105 degrees. I found 115 degrees to be perfect for warming plates, and keeping food warm. But I was at a house recently with double ovens (new!) and we tried unsuccessfully to get the oven to a low enough temp to keep some food/plates warm. The lowest it would go was 170 degrees, which made the tortillas crisp and dry on the edges, and made the plates too hot to use....See MoreClock too small for the wall space?
Comments (35)"this oversized clock (yes I understand it’s not everyone’s taste for wall decor but, we love it )" I am repeating and bolding OP's statement. It might be skipped over the way IdaClaire's helpful reminder was but the other option is to flag comments. There is no wall decor police. A stranger on the Internet has something on their wall you find uninspiring? It's fine. It really is. The world keeps turning and your own wall art is unaffected. OP didn't ask for anyone's opinion on this clock. They asked about size and fit. No value judgment on the piece was requested. Does anyone go into a friend's house and disparage their wall decor? Why would it be ok to do it when a stranger on the Internet shares a picture of their room?...See MoreCenter wall clock on island or wall?
Comments (7)On the wall! What the heck does it have to do with the island ? Nothing! Because the island floats feet AWAY from that wall. It's not a console beneath the clock. In fact? Try some ART instead of the clock. ....... Add a view in other words :)...See MoreGrandfather clock and wall clock in same room?
Comments (101)My room is long but narrow. If I do the 7'10" x 10"6" and place it a few inches under the couch, then the front legs of my end tables have one front leg on and one front leg off the rug which makes the tables lopsided. Also, when walking through the room you would have one foot on the rug and one foot off the rug which would be awkward. So then the next size rug is 9'3 x 12'9" which would solve the leg table problem but with the sofa and TV area would cause one corner of the rug to cover part of the fireplace hearth. Plus, it would almost completely cover my hardwood floor that I just paid $10,000 for last year. So, it's a rug under the coffee table only or no rug at all. The wayfair rug guideline does list having a rug under the coffee table only as an option for narrow rooms but now I'm thinking no rug at all....See MoreUser
