Which Hosta plants leaves change the MOST from pot, to adult?
Comments (7)Hehehehe. Which ONE? Well, take a look at the mass of pots, only a portion of the ones clustering closely in the quickly shrinking shade of my courtyard. Maybe next week they will be organized beneath the new shade structure, and I can show you just ONE which has changed. Plus, I hope to have some raised above others by mounding the pine bark into a hosta hill. I just love them all, and they've all changed so much, sometimes in an instant. But the Holy Mole is awesome, the Alex Summers, and the biggest grower of all was Fried Bananas, so yellow it can be identified from 20 feet instead of 10. Then the puny little Zounds looked so babyish, but is now a nice golden mound too. Like I said, I love them all....See MoreTomato Plant leaves yellowing from the bottom up
Comments (7)Too much rain or over-watering, which in a container that small would be easy to do. Other possible causes are lack of nutrients - primarily nitrogen. You must feed them regularly. Or being root bound in the pot. That is a big plant for that size container so it could easily be rootbound. Every time you water a plant in a container the nutrients leach out so they must be replaced regularly. When the size of the container is proportional to the plant you don't have that much of an issue. Dave...See MoreLeaves yellowing from branch outward; withered leaves
Comments (1)Looks like herbicide exposure, especially the leaves on the top of the plant in the second picture. Specifically Glyphosate (aka Roundup). http://www.clemson.edu/extension/hgic/hot_topics/2010/07glyphosate.html Dave...See MoreNeed help with an id and why most of the leaves have turned yellow
Comments (5)It's Dracaena surculosa, which seems to be reported often as a temperamental plant. Once in a while someone has one doing great, but more often it's the reverse. It definitely won't like getting too dry or constantly soggy soil, but that's pretty much obvious for most plants. Hopefully someone with a great looking, happy one will pop by. I've had this plant for a few yrs & it seems barely alive most of the time....See Morefunkyhat
