Copy link to paste in browser

I am using the online basic (free) email program Incredimail. It is certainly not the greatest, but I have had trouble attempting to change it long ago and very recently and I think it simplist to just work with it.

What I want is a way to copy a link from Incredimail and paste it to Firefox or what ever browser I choose. If I click on a link button in Incredimail it takes me to the outdated browser and fails. If I right clic or hover over the link button, I can see the usually Very Long link text, but I can't seem to find a way to copy the text. Moving the mouse over the text makes it disappear. A right click Copy doesn't copy anything. Any idea on how to grab or copy the link?

I have used incredimail for years with my aol and road runner email accounts and have never had trouble like that with clickable links in my emails. They always open fine in the default browser I had Windows 7 which was IE and now edge on windows 10. Only thing I can think of is to delete the email account and set it up again. Have you gone through everything in settings to make sure something is not set wrong? Mary

Not a well regarded piece of software. Why use any program at all for email? It's not necessary.

I read it puts ads in outgoing messages. Is that true?

Well I'm in safe mode now and can copy and paste. The other day I added an add-on and I don't know what the name of it was, or how to find out what it was or how to just diable it or delete it once I find it. I'm thinking it is 'smart' something. I noticed that when I was surfing Garden Web that when I got toward the bottom of the page one list of threads that I could scroll on down and read pages 2,3,4, etc. Additionally whenever I would highlight something to either copy or do choose doing a Google search, there was a small box that came up at the end of the highlighted material, and it had 4 icons in it. I think they might have been for Twitter or Facebook or some other silly stuff I don't do. Help please...Suggestions? Sue

buyorsell- Two suggestions: 1. The next time there is a problem, disconnect the mouse receiver (I assume it's USB) and then plug it back in and try the same operation again. 2. Go into your mouse properties and see if the buttons are all set to the functions you want; even if they seem ok, it might be good to change the properties and then change them back and apply the settings again. Occasionally my 4-button Logitech wireless wheel mouse "forgets" what it's set for (like the button over the wheel, which I have set to "close," but which sometimes doesn't work).

I've right clicked on the link and clicked on "copy shortcut". I then put the cursor in the address bar to paste it, BUT, the link ends up here in this little message box that I'm replying to you from instead of in the address bar. I've never had this trouble before. Why is it going into this message box instead of the address bar? Now, when I'm trying to do this outside of this message box (or website): The cursor moves away from the address bar after clicking on "edit", meaning that anything under "edit" is not highlighted to click on. Very confusing to me.

Yes.........you can't put a http(url) link within the message area but you can put it in the Optional Link URL box. To place it in the message area use this code: a href="http://ERASE THIS AND PUT PAGE URL HERE">Click hereIn order for me to show the code I had to eliminate two symbols.... which you will need to put back in when you use the code. In front of the first 'a' type . Make sure http isn't in the link twice, which happens when you copy/paste the complete url. After pasting your link, click Preview and you will see 'Click Here' underlined as your link. Or, you can erase Click Here and type in anything you want. For more info check out the link below. As Mary eluded to, what is your default browser? If you click on a link outside of Incredimail, what browser opens? I’m not familiar with incredimail, but one would think it opens the default browser on your computer...

- My self I can't stand online email and a mail program works so much better for me to save an organize mail. I mostly do email from my phone these days and like a mail program better than a mobile browser to check email. Personal preference I guess. From what I remember the only add at the bottom of the email is for incredimail but think that goes away with the paid version. I don't have my paid version set up at the moment since I hardly use a computer these days. I tried them years ago and it was simple for me to set up 2 email servers in it and worked perfect for my needs. Tried other programs and just didn't like them as well. Mary
