long term impact of tap root cutting in b&b and container grown trees

I have planted a few six foot tall white pines and 3 longleaf pine. The white pines were in larger pots, while the longleaf were in smaller pots and only 2-3 feet tall.

My concern is seeing the tap root severed/twisted so it could fit in the container/burlap and wondering if a tree will continue to grow that tap root or how stable these trees will be once they get really big? Will they be the ones blown over by high winds *because* of the taproot being cut?

Also, any good online source for longleaf pine seedlings for zone 7a?

Thanks!
