Recommendation for Test Kit - Colorblind.....
Comments (4)During start-up PB gave us some test strips, but recommended we invest in a proper test kit. I can see colors, but not shades. I cannot tell the difference between blue/purple and red/orange. When putting colors on the light in the pool, there is no difference (to me). Clear water and light yellow tinted would look the same. Same thing with light blue/light green/etc. I would only be able to distinguish color changes if the colors were bold or precipitated out of the solution. On test strips that I've seen, the pH ranges from 6.2-8.4....but they are all orange. I have access to a digital pH meter, but am worried about the other essential tests. Are there any reliable digital meters available on the market?...See MoreColorblind & Can't Decide on Flooring for Adel Medium Brown!!
Comments (10)What do you think of this color combo with tile someone did back in 2008? How do you think it compares to the wood-on-wood look? I do like the look of wood floors (and definitely would prefer it if my cabinets were white), but I can't figure out if I "really" like it...Maybe I looked at too many photos and developed some kind of bias for something that everyone else seems to be doing. I *think* I like the photos with wood floors posted above, but do I really like it or am I unconsciously trying to conform to the trend of wood-floored kitchens? It doesn't help that a real estate broker recently told me that many of his customers seek out kitchens with wood flooring......See MoreColorblind - Need some help here
Comments (10)The Silken Pine is pretty light already, but I guess once on the walls it could look darker. I don't think light yellow would work either because your room is on the dark side, right? Light yellow works best where there's a lot of natural light. Do you use your basement other than washing clothes? If so, then you might think about the color of furniture and possible rugs you would put there. I agree though, you need to go light....See MoreThis mirror has me baffled
Comments (3)I have seen similar poufy leather mirrors used as western décor in bars and restaurants in Texas and Colorado but not with this design type. The poufy parts as I remember them were not as raised as this one. Parts of Texas do have areas where the settlers were from Germany but it looks more Pennsylvania Dutch than actual German....See MoreUser
