It may just be my monitor, but I'm seeing some gray-blue/green stripes in your pretty tile. What about something like BM's Gray Wisp?

Or stay neutral with something like Edgecomb Gray or Revere Pewter?

I did say I was colorblind. To me, it's a pretty tile with just the right *creme* color over the lighter color variant of the same color I was looking at. It's got a hint of pink with some darker wisps in it.

That's as close to color as I can get ;-)

Paint looks so different depending on lighting. Silken Pine for example, I thought would be much darker but in the test sample, it's quite light and nice

Took a closeup pic for something else but here is a closeup of the tile. Artificial flash so use the 2nd pic in the original post as the more *truer to life color*.

Any more thoughts on paint.

Here are a few ideas, off-whites with either a pinkish tinge to blend or blue/green tinge to contrast with the floor tile:

Pretty tile! IMO, a laundry room should be bright and cheery. I used SW Tea Light, which is a super pale yellow. A color consultant suggested it to me when I was searching for pale yellows (I hate bright yellow) and she was right on the mark!

Pale yellow goes with everything, and it's fun to accessorize in that room.

I do like the P&R Whisper, but not for a laundry room. How big is your room?

Thanks guys sofar. While I have some color experts helping me, the colorblind, who is quite appreciative as is, any paint colors you might recommend to go with the darkish wood tile. It's the main room of the basement 3 windows but no natural sunlight... I've never been a fan of white. Any suggestions on something a shade lighter than BM silken pine

The Silken Pine is pretty light already, but I guess once on the walls it could look darker. I don't think light yellow would work either because your room is on the dark side, right? Light yellow works best where there's a lot of natural light.

Do you use your basement other than washing clothes? If so, then you might think about the color of furniture and possible rugs you would put there.

I agree though, you need to go light.

Take a look at Sherwin Williams sea salt, sooo neutral and would go great with the flooring.

The remainder is a large rec room. Kids and all.
Decoratives to follow once the tiles were laid and I get a better flow of the room.
