"Set sides"

Looking back at my roasted chicken thread, some of you mentioned that you don't have "set sides" for roasted chicken.

When I roast a turkey, or chicken, side dishes are always the same: mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, green beans, cranberry sauce, and rolls.

BBQ chicken, or boneless country-style pork ribs, is always baked beans and corn on the cob.

Big ol' baked ham is always southern green beans and baby red taters.

Meatloaf is always mac and cheese, or extra cheesy Au Gratin potatoes, and green beans.

Steak, always a baked potato!

Pork steak: taters fried with bacon and onions, and spinach.

Corned beef is always paired with baby red potatoes and cabbage.

Tacos or burritos must be accompanied by Spanish rice and refried beans.

A big pot of ham and bean soup, or chili, must be served with cornbread.

Spaghetti, or lasagna, are always served with salad and garlic bread.

Do you find yourself having the same sides with your proteins every night, or do you switch them up every time?
