It is three feet off the floor. Here's another pic showing where it sits relative to the stairs. None of our rooms are fully decorated yet. That door is the bonus room which is like a college and sport theme and the master bath is at the top of the stairs which has a country house sort of theme. The other walls of the upper floor have pictures of other vacations. The nook is pretty isolated from everything though.

Every wall doesn't need to be adorned. The art is the curved stair. Make sure the chandelier you select has a dark finish.

We need a little more info but first IMO you need some sort of heat and light blocking so solar shades would be a nice choice and a floor plan with as much detail as possible like the measurements of all the spaces and doorways for sure . Is the sofa staying, is that a good indication of your style. Some pics of the other spaces in the home would be helpful

Hi all we recently moved and I am trying to decide what to get for wall decor on our stairway. It's a dual stairway with front going to foyer and back towards family room. Foyer is 2 story. Eventually planning to paint this a light color. Suggestions? R have a lot of family photos on the second floor wall overlooking the foyer and I don't want to overdo those.
