Comments (6)Our new $20 bills were just released this week. Our paper money is being replaced with a plastic/polymer material. It lasts much longer and is harder to counterfeit. The problems are that they don't stay folded as paper money does, and if you have some in your pocket, because they are so slippery they easily ride up and fall out. The 100 and 50 bills have been out for a while. Just the 5's and 10's to replace and then we're done. The strip is clear with halogram images imbedded. Comments (7)Today because of a predicted freeze tonight, I had to pick everything in the garden, including the winter squash. All these were from one massive plant. Note the yard stick in the foreground for scale. I also picked the last few small green tomatoes, a couple of forlorn cucumbers, and a veritable plethora of peppers. This is as 'GREEN' as it gets...and I was 'lucky' to spot that little stripe of gold in all that green.

Not much green here, either, but I couldn't resist these wild johnny-jump-ups that just came up in our field. Also know as Field Pansies, the flowers are less than 1/2" across.
