Cabinets Handles - Which ones goes with my cabinets?

I am debating on the color and look of the cabinet handles that will go with my current cabinets. Although I don't have any plans on changing the cabinets them any time soon as they are in very good condition, I was wondering if I should select the handles that I can re-use in case I plan on replacing them with white/gray cabinets in a couple of years.

But I am not sure which of Stainless Steel or Bronze/Black would look the best. We do have all the door handles and taps in the house in bronze color, not sure if that matters though. I fear It's going to look all dated if I do the bronze cabinet handles as well but kinda like the bronze picture in my head better than the stainless steel one. Not sure why but I feel like the stainless steel ones are going to make it all crowded in here. Help!

Also, Should I go with different sizes for bigger drawers?

The brushed nickel ones look like they'll go well. Stay away from anything dark like ORB or black, it will just blend into the dark wood.

A simple stainless pull , no square pulls they are awkward to use IMO and I like pulls to be in proportion to the drawer or cabinet.The pulls are from Lee Valley and come in many sizes.

"It's a house, not a museum. If you're only displaying stuff because it's pricey, antique, etc, then what's the point?" Ideefixe, I assume you are talking to me b/c I am the only one who didn't like the boxes. (Well, I like the boxes, just not in the china cabinet.) I don't think an object has to be pricey or antique to be displayed, but everytime I see those boxes, I picture a husband yelling "Honey, where did you put the stamps?" I think it is because the largest box has that silver rivet or snap on the side. They remind me of the canvas boxes that I just purchased at Target for my stationery supplies. They are pretty and functional, but their function doesn't seem suited to a formal dining room. Everything else in the OP's dining room is so polished and refined, the boxes feel like the odd man out. Just wanted to clarify so you wouldn't think that I'm a dollar-sign snob.

My marble went in first, then my hutch cab (to the counter) was installed. My cab maker had to come back and put the toe kicks on and do some other work so it was no big deal to install the cab after. He always planned on that cab going in after the marble. There have been a few threads on this over the past couple of years. A couple of people have had the cab carefully installed at the time of the rest of the cabs, and then had their fabricators carefully slide the counters in underneath. Watching how my stone is installed, I'd absolutely wait if possible both for a perfect fit and to avoid accidental damage to the cab from the stone. My cab perfectly sits on the counter. No gaps anywhere. I just can't imagine that would be possible if it went in before the stone.

With a few exceptions, we used knobs on all the doors and pulls on all the drawers. I loved the knobs and the hardware was a little pricey, so using the knobs helped keep the cost down a bit. The pulls are from a different line by the same manufacturer in the same finish. The pulls that matched the knobs did not have enough clearance to comfortably fit your hand, so they were out. We used 3 3/4" pulls on all the standard drawers and two 6" pulls on the wide drawers. There are pulls put on vertically on the long pantry cabinets next to the fridge and a pull on the trash pull out. There are no pulls on the stationary drawer face panel below the sink. I wanted to mix things up a bit, so didn't use the same thing everywhere.

Hi Patricia, Thank you for the advice with the light bulbs. I like yellow, however, I don't want to over emphasize the color on the cabinets. What are your thoughts on Stellar Gray? It appears to be a warm gray because it has brown undertones in it. I also put a sample of Shadow Gray Quartz next to the cabinet and it did look nice. I also like Frosty Carrina. I just wished I could see whole kitchen pictures of what these colors would truly look like. It is so difficult to determine from a small 2 x 2 sample.

Be wary of cabinet pulls with protruding ears...they are likely to catch your pockets. Very annoying. Just my .02

Definitely something to contrast with the dark wood, so no black or bronze, I'd use stainless steel, brushed or polished nickel, or brushed brass.

As to the style, make sure you not only like the way it looks, but the way it FEELS. You will be touching the hardware a LOT, and you want to make sure it is not unpleasant--rough or sharp edges, etc. I personally like the ones that Patricia Colwell posted for a clean contemporary look. I'd stay away from squares, ovals (they never look uniform), or too-small pulls or knobs.
