Need suggestions for good wall colors of 2 small bathrooms.
Comments (9)I don't know. If you don't get help here go to the decorating forum. There are lots of color folks over there. Have you looked at bathroom colors on Houzz? I'm adding some thoughts: Are there windows in the BRs? that might dictate your choices. I have gone with a very neutral color, gray :) so that I don't ever have to paint again! Just kidding. I installed all my wall tile and think that it is so neutral (white) that any color might go with it in the future. I am hoping that the tile stays there forever. It will out last me. I used the best materials to put it up :) Anyway I am thinking that neutral paint color would be good in a small bath, then you can jazz it up with accessories. Or you could go bold with paint and keep other elements understated. My BR is 6.5x9.5. Permanent features are very neutral in color, my accessories will have soft colors. IMHO a small BR doesn't need to many statements, it is supposed to stay on task! This post was edited by enduring on Sun, Mar 10, 13 at 21:01...See MoreBathroom wall matching color.
Comments (2)Baroque in style, I think I would prefer to see a damask wallpaper, instead of paint. I like this because the soft pink relates to the wood of the vanity. This is a porcelain tile you can buy on Wayfair…that looks very much like a marble used in Baroque decor, without going all out in pattern....See MoreCeiling color for small bathroom
Comments (3)I don't like ceilings the same colors as the wall. My dad used to do that, and as a kid I remember feeling like I was in a big box. I paint the ceiling lighter than the walls, sometimes just a shade or two lighter. Doesn't have to be white, just lighter, but exactly what depends on what color wall you choose....See MoreWhat To Do With a Small Bathroom Ceiling
Comments (5)We remodeled this bath a few years ago and I didn’t want to walk into a room that blinded me in the middle of the night or before I was wide awake in the morning. (I put the vanity lights on a dimmer too) I also replaced the old crappy builder grade fan to one with 100 CFM and it has an LED light that could illuminate a large stadium, so I painted the ceiling dark grey. It does not make the room feel small. It actually makes the ceiling sort of disappear, so it really feels a bit taller now. The color is Behr “Imperial Gray”. I did ours in a flat paint. In our case the white tile, window, glass doors and lights still make it plenty bright, but your tiles may not. I don’t think gloss paint will help in that respect. See if you can increase your reflective surfaces in a different way. Perhaps glass or mirrors? Better lighting?...See Morezabba23
