Comments (17)Hi Misselle! Welcome! That's quite the collection of plants! Very nice! I am horrible with names, so hopefully others will chime in soon and help. Your very last picture is an aloe, and yes, they can be slow to bloom. :-) I get impatient with mine. lol.. The one above it seems to be an Aloe or Agave. I believe the pretty little variegated one a little further up is portulacaria afra aka Elephant bush The one in bloom that you mentioned the photo blurry may be a Senecio It is important that you learn all the names or at least the family the plants are from to know the proper care. Especially on the mixed dishes. Many grow at different times of the year. Good luck! I will be watching this and learning with you. :-)...See MoreThought I'd share some pics
Comments (8)Hi cxjr Those are such interesting plants you have there! The brom-in-a-coconut might be the start of a cool new fad. A bunch of them grouped together would look great on the deck of a pool where you could view them from down in the water. I wish I could see more of the bouganvillea where the aralias have left it stranded. Would it break the trunk of you stood it up and staked it to something sturdy? I love the gnarly bare trunk and it seems like growing a bouganvillea "tree" might enable you to keep it and emphasize its structure. I recently pruned an old, twisted giant purple that looked like it would soon engulf a little church. I ended up with several large trunks that needed to be propped with 2x4s to stand upright, and I think once it gets its strength to hold itself in that position and I can remove the supports, it will create a place we can walk under, with the blooming branches arching above. I saw a bouganvillea grown as a tree in Boca Grande 20 years ago and have wanted to try it myself. I hope you'll keep us posted as to what you do, and let us see your progress on the one you are bonsai-ing. Oh, one more thing . . . . I suspect your cute little plumeria cutting will soon outgrow its space. I am amazed at how fast they grow and how big they can get. What color is yours? Thanks for all the great pictures . . . and keep up the good work. Susie...See MoreMy pulls are in! Thought I'd share a great hardware website!
Comments (27)thanks dd70. are you planning on installing them soon and can update on the stopper? I assume from what you posted, that they do have the stop. As far as the finish, is the copper similar to the ORB color Amerock has? A smooth dark finish (not rust or patina'd) with a little copper showing though? I'm using at least 4 different types of hardware and need to coordinate somehow, but the style you chose is gorgeous. You're right about the Top Knobs-no stops on the bail pulls (what are they thinking???) Other than what you chose, I am basically stuck with the birdcage bail pulls, and while they are OK, your style is much more elegant. Plus, I am not a fan of the pulls that match the birdcage....See More
