Confusing pricing for Marvin Integrity windows
Comments (1)Screens are an additional price in all window companies software as well as additional in the price book. It is considered on option from EVERYONE although 99% of the time they are ordered. It is an option because they have many types of screen mesh material as well as frame material options beside aluminum....See Morefiberglass with integrated dark color vs painted on dark color?
Comments (16)I did not think Marvin or Anderson had an ebony or dark bronze interior fiberglass option? I also do not think they have had "continual problems" for ~20 years but it appears as if it was enough of a problem to employ at least one chain painting business in the matter of repairing failed window coatings for approximately 8 years. I guess what I am trying to say is that I don't know that I feel comfortable with a coated product where the product has a history of appreciable coating failure, or I would at least feel more comfortable if Marvin owned it and identified to the public exactly what happened and how it was remedied, rather than having us all rely on speculation because I have not seen any official information on the cause of the failures, but it certainly is contradictory to what the product brochures would have us believe!...See MoreMarvin Integrity wood interior windows prefinished white. Trim color?
Comments (5)Well Sophie thought the house trim and cabinets with cabinet trim (if painted) should match and i followed her advice along with lots of her other great advice. So my trim, builtins, and cabinets are all BM White Dove. No dying in of colors of trim to cabinet trim like I had to do in my last house. The color is not an exact match to the interior white of my Marvin Casement windows but Close enough. i do not like that color enough to use it extenaively in my house. The difference Between the two colors together is barely perceptible and doesn’t bother me. I can post a window pic if you need me to....See MoreHorrible Smell from Marvin Integrity Windows Installed 1 month ago
Comments (120)I will cut one apart this Sunday or Monday. I seriously doubt Marvin will do anything still. The only way to identify the VOC is to do chemical analysis. I will post pictures of the inside of the frame and we can see if it is worth paying for a lab. I pulled the windows out of my house and rigged in the old ones because of the obvious health concern of 24/7 exposure....See MoreHomeSealed Exteriors, LLC
