Gotta throw my monkey wrench in the whirling machine engine!!! Since the pieces are identicle I would have attached them at the corner creating a closed corner. I also agree with the use of post holes and quickcrete. To me they would look better sunk half way down thus repurposing a bed to look like a wooden corner fence. A sign with brass house address numbers would be an excellent addition on one side. The other side could have your last name done in brass letters on a sign. Both signs should face the street. This would cause the corner fence to have two purposes, 1. A corner border to the garden and 2. a marker for your house numbers. I know you will really enjoy that planting space. Lucky you!!!!! I really am liking the last 2 also! martia8 - I don't have anything immediate that I can think of... will need to trek down to our barn but there is about 2 feet of snow blocking my way! I think finding something sorta flat-ish might be an issue. prairiegirlz- I definitely like the oval one empty and probably the twine wrapped one too. The twine one was just a thin ugly frame I painted so I just wrapped it - I love the texture of it! shesharee - ctlane - betty - thanks for your input! : ) busybee - fantastic idea with a word or letter! I only have a small aluminum w to fit but it looked way too chunky. I will keep looking! Thanks!

I have a gorgeous glass/wood coffee table that sat very proudly in my living room, however the addition of a toddler meant more space was needed and I packed it away, for now. I introduced the ottoman as a means of toy storage (hiding) and a coffee table of sorts. I have two side tables either side of the linen couch and then the console that you can see in the image. I often feel this looks cluttered. Perhaps I'll look at adding two table lamps to the side tables either side of the linen couch (any recommendations?), a print above the linen couch, another print above the console and another above the brown leather? Is that too many prints!? What are the rules with prints in the one room, do you stick to one theme/genre/tone? I seem to like photography prints and vintage pop art most but will go with whatever works. I'd love to know what type art people think I should consider, I've seen some lovely photography prints of treetops adorned with snow, cactuses, whisper white horses, lovely bridges, etc. With regard to rug, does anyone think I should replace the cow hide with perhaps a very muted jewel tone circular or rectangular rug? The deer head and cushions on the brown leather couch are going, going, gone!! Loving the recommendations, keep them coming please!!

love the fiddleleaf. (trim off a few of those lower leaves) I like the photo in the last shot, or maybe the mirror. Looks very nice, all your items. maybe a picture proportional to one like this? you know what would look cool? if you painted that wall a darker color Doesn't have to be black (although I think black would look amazing) but I think the white on top of the white board/batten is too neutral) some other similar styles with art shelves are also an option
