I don't know how to post photos, but the size you have seems ok to me. I believe 60k is the maximum. If I am wrong someone will correct me. I like what you have done with the rack!

Simone, I too am impressed with the results of wintersowing. So far I have had a very successful first year. Now I have new confidence to try other seeds. I'm dangerous in any store with a seed rack. I bought some today as a matter of fact! I need more seeds like I need more holes in my head! Good luck on your petunias. I'm even thinking of giving them a whirl for next year. I saw one female Monarch. Didn't get stung, never get stung by those carpenter bees. I've been out washing off the 2 billion aphids on my swamp milkweed. No one in my yard takes me seriously--I'm talking about the bees, butterflies, birds. They think I'm there to serve them--I am. Glad you had a good day. I saw a Least Skipper, loads of Pecks and Sachems, Tigers, Pipevines, and Spicebush Swallowtails, a Red Banded Hairsteak, Silvery Checkerspot, Pearl Crescents, Eastern Tailed Blues, some type of Duskywing, probably a Wild Indigo (I have the plant).

Nice sharp picture. However, there is an unwritten rule among birding enthusiasts not to photograph and even worst display pictures on nests, eggs and birds in nests. Of course everyone has to make their own decision but there are very good reasons not to do it. Nesting sites should be left alone because there is always a possibility of nest abandonment. Also, even more probable is premature fledging, which almost always results in death. The reason pictures of nest should not be displayed is because beautiful pictures like yours may encourage less experience birder�s to seek nests in search of equal or better picture. You may take a beautiful picture of young birds in their nest from your window, without causing any damage, but others encouraged by your success may do whatever is necessary, no matter how damaging, just to come up with a good pic.
