It is perfect, isn't it? It just makes ya sigh and feel all warm inside when you look at it. I was standing next to the fence to check on some Pipevine I am trying to grow there, and just looked over and saw it. I happened to have my camera in my pocket. I didn't use the flash at all. Gosh, I hope that a passing Crow or Jay doesn't spot it. It's not very well hidden, and I am amazed that the Robins put it there.~~Angie

However, there is an unwritten rule among birding enthusiasts not to photograph and even worst display pictures on nests, eggs and birds in nests. Of course everyone has to make their own decision but there are very good reasons not to do it. Nesting sites should be left alone because there is always a possibility of nest abandonment. Also, even more probable is premature fledging, which almost always results in death.
The reason pictures of nest should not be displayed is because beautiful pictures like yours may encourage less experience birder�s to seek nests in search of equal or better picture. You may take a beautiful picture of young birds in their nest from your window, without causing any damage, but others encouraged by your success may do whatever is necessary, no matter how damaging, just to come up with a good pic.

Hi creeper. I have taken your comments into consideration, and I truly do respect your right to your views. Obviously, I am a very devoted lover of nature who is also conscientiously stiving to be a supportive steward too. Their successes and failures matter greatly to me, and I would never ever intentionally do anything to disrupt or jeopardize their success. Based upon your comments, I am supposing that you assumed that about me, and I appreciate the fact that you chose to address me in such a civil manner. Too often, that civility is greatly lacking in the arenas of public forums. I am truly sorry if my photo was offensive to anyone here, and I promise that I will not post another. I'm sure most of us know this and know better not to disturb nest, especially in building stage of nest. Birds do get stressed when they know you have spotted their nest and come close, yes it's better to observe them with binocular and take pictures with long reach lens or in a blind I sometimes do. A quick shot close up is not the best but does no harm when eggs are in...just make sure you ignore them after and they are fine.
