Three season room question
Comments (3)We had a builder do the work and after all these years I really don't really remember what type of insulation was used - though I'm certain there was some. The old open porch was entirely removed and replaced with the new three season porch so they most likely would have used whatever is typical for exterior walls. If we want to sit out there on a winter day we just turn on a small space heater for a bit and it's very comfortable. On a sunny day we don't even need that....See MoreFlooring in three season sun room
Comments (1)You have very few choices. No type of vinyl will work...no vinyl plank, vinyl, Luxury vinyl, etc etc etc. No laminate, no wood. Possibly a floating vinyl fiber floor with a large expansion gap could work but will not be manufacturer approved. Carpet or Porcelain ceramic tile will work and can be warranted. That is really about it. This is why most have carpet. Sorry. Other posters may disagree somewhat, but you can take this info as fact. We sell it all and have seen it all. We had 5000 sq ft of vinyl plank blow up 6 weeks ago because it was laid without proper heating source installed yet, than it got warm and it lifted 3 inches off the floor in spots. Tore it all out. Comments (13)Well, DH is picking up drywall today, I am just avoiding cleaning up all the dust. We aren't sure what to do with the brick chimney there in the corner. While DH hangs up the drywall, I will start painting in the kitchen. My three colors I would like to work around are going to be white, cream and black. White, since that is what all the trim is, cream for walls, then the black is from my furniture and appliances. We removed all the trim in the DR, so I will also paint that white while it is off, then just touch up after it is put back on. Walls in DR cream, walls in LR will be a bit brighter than cream, but not ultra white, since it is the darkest room. Kitchen will have cream on the walls and white trim as well. I know for sure I am using Dutch Boy ultra white for trim since previous home owner left a can of it labeled "trim". (I love it when they do that) I am picking up samples of creams when we go to the lumber yard for drywall this afternoon. That is my plan so far and I am hoping I won't have to come up with a plan C, lol....See MorePlease help with my flooring (room to room transition)
Comments (2)Personally, I like for it all to be the same, although it does seem a shame to refinish floors that don't need it....See Moreecasta
