Comments (4)The pics are kind of tiny so I can't see all he details. Is there a backsplash? I'm thinking you could do a white for a backsplash and white walls and a dirtied yellow on some walls. This would make your beige cabinets look darker and richer. The whole monochromatic look could be punctuated with colors in the accessories. Use some accents of natural wood. Go with chrome or brushed nickle for the hardware instead of black. Is there any way to fit an island into the space? The island could be of another color than the cabinets. The counters seem to bother you and you can't replace them right now you say. A lot of people have had good luck painting their counters. I've never tried it but it is said to have good results and it wears well until they can be replaced. Off course you could paint the cabinets instead too....See MoreNew Home, New Grey Paint - but it looks BLUE
Comments (30)I prefer grays with blue undertones, and I think your walls are beautiful. But relax, because I’ve found that the visions in my head and real life never align perfectly and if you expect them to, you will never be satisfied. Enjoy building your home together and see how it all comes together. My husband and I have been decorating our first home together and we’ve had quite a few arguments because our tastes are so different. If your boyfriend loves the colors, try them for a little while. You do have a beautiful home from what I can see!...See MoreHELP! My grey sofa looks olive!
Comments (9)It's likely you viewed the sample in the store under fluorescent lights which accounts or the difference when they arrived at your home. So the sofas stay. All you can now do is change the paint and items around the sofas and make sure all selections are made in the same light as your home. The green you see is not apparent in your photos, but it can be safely mentioned that ant addition of red or orange tones will enhance the green so stay away from that. Don't bother with the sofa legs which are hidden in the shadows....See MoreMy Grey walls looks green!
Comments (4)Voltage won't help you here. It's the Kelvin temperature you're thinking about. 4000K is the whitest, truest light you can get, but it might be harsh on your eyes if you have a lot of LED light at that temperature. Sometimes green can come from reflection of outdoor vegetation shining through a window, even if you don't get direct sunlight on that side of the house.
