Does a gray-green-beige neutral go with... a warm, muted gold?
Comments (6)I don't have pics to share of the bedroom yet but imagine EK Pumice (which is actually a light grey-green-tan, pretty exactly) with golden strandwoven bamboo flooring. And walnut cabinetry, and similarly-toned brown fabric headboard. Nickel and frosted glass light fixtures. The drapes and the bed fabrics, in shades of gold and very light grey-green (I also have some bluish-grey sheets that look *so great* against the green-grey duvet and brown headboard...you wouldn't expect it, but they all kind of glow when they're next to each other) make it all work together. Comments (4)My old standby is SW Restrained Gold. If it's a light gray you can go up to Blonde. Looks great with gray. I had a gray kitchen that went into a Restrained Gold dining room & it was stunning. The ceiling would look great in Navajo White. And I would use your rust from the rug as an accent color in draperies & pillows, candles, etc. Cream for your trim (consider Westhighland White) ~Jeana...See MorePaint color to go with gray kitchen cabinets & oak trim?
Comments (1)Grays work best with white and very dark trim and cabinets. It can be a challenge to get cool grays to work with warm wood tones - they don't bring out the best in each other. Look for warm grays or greens with gray undertones, taupe, and greiges. Warm wood tones look best with whites, cream, creamy beige, blues and greens. Some whites that lean gray might work. The below pic is Maritime White and reads light gray. This green gray may be too dark, but a lighter shade of the same idea might work: This is a lighter one: A white may be a way to go:...See MoreNeed a gray that will go well with Navy Blue
Comments (16)I chose Ben Moore New York State of Mind. I am looking for a light sleek gray or I guess it could be a grayish white? Those kinds of colors are called near neutrals. One option from the same hue family as New York State of Mind is Cumberland Fog by PPG Paints. It's best to see a chip from PPG Paints. If you don't have a PPG Store, ask your Benjamin Moore store if they have a PPG fandeck behind the counter. They usually do because they can try to match it. Also grab a chip of Tundra 2133-70 it's about as close to a true neutral gray as you can get in commercial paint product....See MoreBeth H. :
