Cortec plus flooring
Comments (37)Laurie, This is the Rocky Mountain Oak. It is not shiny and there is some variation in the color but not much and no beveled edges. I think that's what you were asking about. We stained the steps as best we could to match the floors. First we painted them a color that was something like the floors and then put the stain and poly. over it. We're happy with the way the steps turned out since we aren't very handy. This picture was taken at night but I think it shows the true color of the floor better than the ones I took during the day....See MoreAnyone installed Cortec Ankara Travertine?
Comments (6)We just installed it in the master bath and walk-in closet of a home we just bought. I LOVE it!!! My enthusiasm might be just a tad influenced by the fact that it replaced the previous owner's 15-year-old brown carpeting that covered the entire bathroom floor, so anything was bound to be an improvement :-) But seriously, I really like it. There are earth-tone tiles all over the counter, back splash and tub surround in that bathroom. I wanted to tie the floors in with all of that as well as with the cooler wall color and new clear finish oak floors that we're putting in the adjoining master bedroom, and the Ankara Travertine fits the bill. Plus it feels really nice underfoot. I went ahead and carried it into the walk-in closet as well and am so glad I did. I'll be over there later today and take a few photos to share with you....See MoreCoretec Noble Oak vs. Hayes Oak - Need Help!
Comments (12)I ended up purchasing Noble Oak without seeing an actual sample due to time constraints. I almost pulled the trigger on Valor Oak (really liked the color), but was worried with shade variability that is hard to predict with the actual sample I had. After speaking with a Cortec rep, and sharing what it was I was looking for, I went with her recommendation for Noble Oak. Its going in a shaded basement (but with bright daylight LED recessed lighting) so Im hoping for the best! Ill post some pics once its delivered and installed (2-3 weeks)!...See MoreCoretec Calypso Oak crackling
Comments (46)Just an update from my side. But first a quick refresher. We had Manila Oak installed in Fall 2023. The crackling was pretty bad right away and never got better. Worked with our flooring house, who worked directly with CoreTec. CoreTec approved a new floor. The Manila lot we had was out of spec, both in terms of the straightness of the edges, as well as the profiles of the tongue and groove. The new floor was finally installed last week. We chose Calypso, which is the same floor as Manila oak, but a different pattern. We actually like the new floor better and….no crackling!! You can see the difference in the 2 floors below (Calypso on the left). A larger pic of Calypso as well. We’re very satisfied with the new floor....See MoreRelated Professionals
