I wouldn’t be so quick to blame a store for this. We ordered a refrigerator (not an LG) back in July, yes July! through a friend who owns an appliance store. The delivery date has been changed by the manufacturer multiple times. The assembly line is in the USA. There are a variety of reasons from shortages of components coming from China, shortage of healthy workers at the factory, factory closures for weeks at a time, all due to Covid. It is extremely frustrating but you really can't blame a store when the delivery date they are given by the factory keeps getting moved out.

And so it begins. I ordered 5 appliances around Black Friday, delivery scheduled for 1/2. I just got a call from Samsung that my shipment was delayed and they will call me back in the next 48 hours with a new delivery date.

Having read many of these post, I already know what will piss me off the most. They won't split the shipment and things that are in stock now will go out of stock by the time the other stuff comes in. And this will just go round and round until every item I ordered is discontinued.

So what are my choices? Cancel the order and place 5 new ordered and lose the $350 sale? Wait it out? We don't need new appliances, we are renovating and want to update; I could just reinstall the old ones.

based on reviews for samsung fridges, you should probably cancel! (have you read them? they're the worst along w/LG)

@ Bryan Lilly-Unfortunately, you may not see those appliances until next August. I was warned about delays (particularly from Bosch, Samsung, LG) some time ago. Re: your dilemma, I'd be tempted to simply reinstall existing appliances and cancel previous orders. These delays prompted me to order a new Speed Queen laundry pair, which, thankfully, had no delays and arrived on schedule. I'm keeping my d/w, double wall ovens until this Covid situation has been resolved, which could be 2022...

When we placed the order, the HD associate checked inventory and there were 100s in stock. I figure they don't reserve one for me specifically, but it seemed likely that the supply chain was reasonably stable at that point and there would be enough on my delivery date.

I will give them one chance on this first reschedule. If it's only a few weeks and they actually come through, then all is good. If they reschedule again, I'm cancelling!!!

I just don't understand why they won't split the delivery. Two trips now is certainly cheaper then 5 later, or worse, loosing the sale to Lowes.

I am also having trouble getting a Samsung refrigerator I ordered in early November from Lowe's during an early Black Friday sale. Lowe's keeps delaying my delivery every week and I am now being told that 149 units are "in production" for a regional distribution center and won't be in until January 28th, but I am not holding my breath on that. Luckily we don't need the refrigerator until the middle of March when our new home will be finished but I just would like to know I am going to get it. I hate to cancel the order because of the price discount I received. I've contacted Samsung directly and they tell me that the model I ordered is still being manufactured so that is a good sign.

Ordered an LG refrigerator from Sears in early November 2020. Given a mid December delivery date. That was changed to early January 2021. That date was also missed. We have no idea when (if?) we will ever get it. Sears customer service is the worst. They did not call us to tell us our shipment was delayed either of this times. We had to call them. The last time we even got a confirmation call with a delivery window. Still no fridge.

I got a recorded call today from LG starting my home depot order of lg appliance's has been delayed until March. I didnt catch the day of the month and the recording never repeated. This was ordered mid November 2020 with an initial delivery of Jan 19.

The pandemic is reeking havock.

Yes it’s the same story I’m getting from 7/20 and 2/1/21 and 3/5/21 now sometime in late April expected for delivery I’m writing off LG and going with an American made that I can get next week

This is going on all over - not only LG products but with GE and Frigidaire. It has nothing to do with the pandemic as we keep being fed. It has to do with the fact that China controls all our products and they want to take us all down to our knees. They want to control all and clearly they are from what I have been witnessing in the last year. We ordered some Frigidaire fridge/freezer units in April 2020 - we still do not have dates. We ordered GE Cafe lines - also keep getting back order dates pushed around. From May, to April, to March and now back to April. I’m expecting any day an email telling me May, it’s a joke! Frustrating to say the least. But so many of us are in this situation because we all depend on China to release our products or parts that manufactures need to finish the appliances.

At least you were told that your appliance was on back-order. I ordered a refrigerator to move into my new home and just received my 4th email that Lowes will not deliver until March 4th. We have to eat out until it is delivered. Breast milk can't go into a deep freezer.

The well-respected appliance store near us (in business 60 years) told me that they are not even taking orders for Samsung. They also have a "friends and family" promotion usually around this time of year but they aren't doing it now. I got an email from them a few days ago and you can tell they are mad. It said they are not doing it this year in part- "no support from our manufacturers and distributors".

They said GE is your best bet for getting them reasonably soon. I bought four items about a month ago (all GE) and only the refrigerator has not been received by them. I don't need them for another month so hopefully the fridge will be in by then.

I have received the lg appliance order today, March 17th. It was ordered Nov 2020.

OMG This is how it went for our family we ordered a LG refrigerator in 7/2020 waited a month took of work to be here for delivery called that day to see what time frame it was to be delivery and was informed Sir your refrigerator is not coming today it’s on back order So.... we ordered again in 11/2020 was told it would arrive 2/1/2021 So..... that’s right was notified a week before delivery that it will be delivery.On 3/5/2021 we revived it that day around 10:30am

Guys, this is going on with most all major appliance brands. Frigidaire, GE and Samsung of the few I am aware of.

I ordered one from Lowe’s and never was told it was on back ordered. Delivery dates kept changing, but Best Buy had my fridge to my new home within two weeks. They were awesome.

Wow! I started this thread over three years ago. It’s obvious it’s an ongoing issue. If I had to do it all over again I would order in stock items. Wishing you all the best as you anticipate your completed projects!!!

I appreciate your comments and your thought that you can buy stock items. But there are no stock items that don’t have problems. You cannot find appliances that are well-made. I am about to do my kitchen over. I have had my refrigerator for 40 years still waiting for appliances to be reliable again. I had an Amana refrigerator side-by-side. What’s the problem, why don’t we have great appliances? The answer I think is China snd the USA. Right? Try and find something that works With no problems. Every refrigerator leaks water problems cheap plastic. The invention of the French doors and the bottom freezer where you can’t hold anything. Pay more for less space and expected to die in five or six years.And if you want an ice maker forget about it in the freezer. Make your own.
Try and get a side-by-side refrigerator like I have which is 36 inches wide. Not really big but bigger than you can find that holds so much.
Subdivisions and suburban communities where they are in need of six or 10 refrigerators to finish out a section. They are dying because they can’t get them. Anybody have a solution that calls for the government to do more manufacturing in this country?

@maggie200 that’s exactly the issue! Everything is either manufactured in China or needs parts they order from China to finish production and now here we all are. It’s horrible. We need to bring jobs back home - stop depending on China for everything. It’s insane. I’ve never seen anything like this ever before.

@dadoes unfortunately even the appliances manufactured in the US depend on items like “compressors” etc from China to finish production. It’s not all manufactured in the US. Unfortunately

I recieved all 4 of lg appliances from home depot on march 16th. They were ordered Nov 4th. Woo hoo. Perfect condition and bbn they all work.

Yes, I know that. It's a global economy. All brands have manufacturing/assembly facilities across the planet, and source individual parts/components from everywere. An event such as an earthquake or tsunami in India or Japan can disrupt supply of electronic components for products assembled in the U.S. There is that huge container ship stuck in the Suez Canal since Tue 3/23 ... anyone want to conjecture what materials and/or products are on it, and other ships that now can't get through?

Best Buy delivery guy may have stolen one of our stoves. We had installation and delivery, but the Best Buy installer didn't know how to unhook the gas line and said we need to have a plumber come look at it. The plumber took 2 minutes and easily fixed what the Best Buy installer should have been able to do. We called back for new installation date and discovered third party delivery/installer told them it been delivered and the installer marked it as delivered. We think he may have stolen it, so now we are attempting to get one delivered and now the third party delivery is saying oh, he marked it delivered by mistake. In the meantime we had the gas line disconnected thinking we've have an installation Saturday. Well, after a couple of hours of phone calls they tell us someone will call us back to delivery and install, which means no stove for who knows how long.

@dadoes We’ve heard and seen many earthquakes and tsunamis occur in the two decades but we haven’t experienced these amount of back orders and delays as we are seeing since end of 2019. At least I’ve never seen this before. Not sure if anyone else can remember a time they also experienced this in the past.

I ordered 4 LG appliances (fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave) from Sears back in Nov 2020 to be delivered 2/15/2021. The fridge got delivered a week or two late. The other 3 get rescheduled every 7 days since 2/15. I get a text message saying it was rescheduled every week the day after it was supposed to be delivered. When you call, you get a person in India who can't do anything but tell you It's definitely coming next time and they're so sorry. I could cancel, but would lose $100's in sale/rebate money plus my old appliances are still working. So, I wait... I notice Best Buy has all 3 in stock and available for pickup 3 days from now. I wonder if that's actually true. Still it would cost me about $600 more to buy them now from BB.

@Travis Troup sadly, we’re all caught in this mess of the delays on most all major appliances! It’s terrible!

I live in Hawaii. Although ordered pre-Covid-19 Lowes stated "in-stock". Later I learned, not in Hawaii but at a Distribution Center in California. However, even though it's the 21st Century, apparently their "stocks on hand" aren't accurate or...they were being untruthful just to get your business. It took a communication with Lowes Corporate before I saw some movement. Not just LG but the General Electric Oven/Stove model that was highly-rated in Consumer Reports. Keep in mind, we have to wait additional time here due to shipping over the ocean and associated staging and pickup.

I have waited since Feb. 2021 after ordering an appliance suite from Home Depot, and now at the April 13th arrival date it is on LG who has not yet provided any product to be distributed to me yet.

So I ordered an LG Range Model number LREL6325F on December 29th 2020. I bought it from ABC Wearhouse because of the amazing deal they got me! At time I knew there was back order and knew I would be waiting until about February to get delivered.

Long story short, February came and went with no delivery. finally I was told that it come in March, March I actually had a scheduled delivery of the 17th but the 17 of March came and went with no delivery sighting damage to the range. Ok great I can respect that they don't want to deliver something damaged.

So now we are in April I was told I would get delivered today (April 24th) BUT my order was never loaded on a truck, a few minutes later I got an email that My order was now on back order with an eta of 1/1/2099! ,meaning I will be long dead before I get this stupid range

Guess I'll keep using a fire hazard of Range or keep grilling out like I have been. Just want a straight answer. Thanks for listing.

Everyone, I got a update on my order. On April 27th the LG Range LREL6325F was successfully delivered.

I ordered from sears 2 months ago. They gave me a shipping delivery date and if course it was rescheduled again and again do to shipping

My order took 6 months. Twice the delivery date was changed. It was worth the wait.

I am amused reading the comments about the horrible (mere) weeks of waiting for LG appliances ordered through Lowes. i ordered mine 5/28/22. Five months and counting. it’s October and no appliances except dishwasher. i ordered through their designer and we spent a great deal of time putting together a suite that was IMMEDIATELY available. i did no Care about brand…just availability. The do sub out their deliveries. i paid Lowes $350 to deliver an order and the delivery guy from ”no name” independent contractor refused to bring the order inside. He lied and said he wasn’t allowed to. Even lied to the Lowes customer service rep I got on the phone. Point is, with so many entites not directly employed, they have no influence or even reliable info about your order.

I ordered and paid in full: LG Kitchen Appliance Suite September 4, 2021. I was given delivery date of October 22, 2021. Delayed delivery was due to the microwave being on back order. We suggested delivering the fridge, freezer, and range and was told due to policy Major Appliances are to be delivered when all items arrive. I received an automated call one (1) day before delivery date stating my order delivery has been changed to November 17, 2021. I called LG to get more information regarding the delay. I was told the fridge and freezer were on back order. It is apparent LG will reallocate an appliance order to complete another appliance order if it suits their need. This is a terrible process and makes supply chain worse. It makes more sense to release partial orders and deliver the back ordered product when available. There should be some consequences to this practice, but there will not be. As long as they are making money who cares about the consumer. To the next consumer, DON"T BE A VICTIM. Make sure your appliance order is in stock and will be delivered within a couple of days.

EXACTLY! After throwing a fit, I finally got my appliances ordered last May on October 18. They substituted a SHarpe microwave because the LG is now on back order at Lowes! (the microwave IS available thru LG website however) And they substituted another model for my LG Range. It was a slightly more expensive model, so we didn't gripe, but it came with no racks, no installation package, no warranty info, no user manual, no air fry tray, no built in thermomter. I spent hours talking to LG AND to Lowes. Finally had to order the installation package myself at $71 and Lowe's is supposed to give me a gift card for that amount. Lowe's optional solution was to order a completely new range (which is out of stock now and not expected til after the new year). They OBVIOUSLY robbed Peter to pay Paul.

During this whole process, I have spent 2 hours with my Lowe's designer selecting appliances that were "in stock" and endless hours on the phone reporting delivery damages, missing appliances, and trying to rectify errors.

Yes, I've had a second delay on an LG Washtower that I ordered in November 2021 for delivery March 1, 2022. On the delivery date, Lowe’s called to say that my unit wasn’t available and that it will be mid May until it arrives. I’m disappointed. I believe they‘re probably going to cancel the order because I got it on sale and they don’t want to honor the discounted price. I already got rid of my old washer/dryer so I’ll be without one until May or whenever Lowe’s decides to deliver it.

I have been waiting 1 year for a Bosch Microwave/Oven combination. I had the cabinet cut out to the custom size and now I am stuck waiting with no expected delivery date!!

Canadian here. I ordered from Canadian Appliance Source back in December 2021, I received my LG washer but no dryer. They keep updating the website with estimated stock time but as soon as the day comes they refresh it for a month later. Current ETA is June 24, 2022. I highly doubt I will get it then.

Yes, I am going through this right now with washers and dryer with exception I am dealing with Home Depot. The only thing I get is there is nothing they can do but I have to take 2 days off and this is with no guarantee of delivery on the second day. I like their LG products, but their customer service is the worst.

I ordered an LG induction oven from Lowes the day before thanksgiving with an original delivery date of Jan. 20 2023. When it didn't arrive I asked what is happening. I was informed that it would be pushed back to March 10 2023. I got a call yesterday and now I have to wait until April 23 2023. I paid for this product in Nov. of 2022. 6 months seems excessive to me. Has anyone else had this issue? Why is LG so backed up on their induction ovens?

I have been waiting 7 weeks for delivery of a washing machine. The first date promised was 1/11 and I've been contacting them ever since. Initially LG said it had been shipped to the local delivery/installer. I called the local company who said it was waiting to be scanned into the warehouse and they would expedite it. Nothing happened. I contacted LG again last week and they said they'd escalate it, but nothing has happened. I contacted them yesterday and got standard email reply. At this point I want to cancel. If it is out of stock, they should just say so. My neighbor is getting tired of me bringing my laundry over.

I placed an order for an LG washer and dryer at the end of December 2022. The dryer was always in stock but the washer they told me would be in at the end of January. When that didn't happen they said early to mid March. Now mid March is here and crickets. If they would just tell me the truth I could plan around it, but they just keep telling me what they think I want to hear. I will probably cancel and find another brand at another store where a set is in-stock.

I too have experienced a delay on an LG induction range. I ordered it Jan 2 (through Best Buy) and the delivery has been rescheduled 5 times. The next scheduled delivery is May 17. I too paid Best Buy on Jan 2 and have had no range so far. Not good business model of paying 5 months ahead!

We ordered a refrigerator from Lowe’s on May 15 and it was supposed to be delivered on May 27th but on May 26th they said it would be delivered only on July 31st, 2023. So we canceled that order and ordered another refrigerator that was supposed to be delivered on May 28th. It was again delayed due to ‘truck broke down’! The next delivery date that Lowe’s gave us was today, June 2nd and this morning they called and said it hadn’t arrived yet and so delivery would be delayed yet again to June 4, 2023!!! It is summer and very hot here and we are managing with a very old fridge in the basement. Very disappointed with Lowe’s sales and customer service. If they don’t have the item in stock or not able to deliver by a certain date they should not say that or publish that on their website. The BBB should be informed about these discrepancies and lack of transparency in Lowe’s business model.
