no, but if the vendors pay enough it’s all good to forgo limiting their actions and to hell with helping use this platforms leverage capability to help force contractors into doing the right thing.
Awarding a “best of” badge at this time is too early in the year and Houzz shouldn’t sensor reviews or support vendors who defraud Houzz users.

Comments (30)Maryl, your hubby has a good eye! I can't speak about the heat you experience, but RA holds up wonderfully in the summer heat here. (We do get a few 90-plus degree days in July/August. The blooms have a thick substance and I don't notice any color fading, but it's hard to know how it would fare there. If you ever want to try it out just let me know in the spring and I can send you some fans. Here's another pic of it, this past summer when we had drought conditions........See MoreBest UFs and Spiders of 2018
Comments (39)Karen, you are right that fulva 'Europa' is very hard to set seeds on. Stout appparently made thousands of crosses to get just a few seeds. There are, however, other varieties of fulva that will set seeds with tets (and not just rarely, but quite often). We never get very many seeds in a pod and many seeds eventually go bad in storage, but we get a fair few. In fact, this year we have 308 seeds from fulva varieties to play with. The varieties that we use are fulva cypriana, 'Korean,' 'Hankow,' 'Switzerland,' and 'Yunnan'. These varieties of fulva do not bloom as early as 'Europa' so their offspring are more midseason bloomers. 'Hankow' blooms late for us. Nancy...See MoreYour best pics of 2018
Comments (195)Rouge and peren.all, I appreciate the kind and complementary words. I don't get around to posting as much as I would like, the place is very large and just keeps expanding! I think many others know how such goes when space permits! Otherwise, I've actually been working to reduce the size of most flowerbeds and giving them an improved overall more appealing shape and flow. The place has certainly been a labor of love and a foolish overboard driven passion!...See MoreHosta Best of 2018
Comments (26)Saija, Lakeside Prophecy is so beautiful. I love looking at your photo! Glad that it has been a good grower for you! Sunnywood, isn't it wonderful when so many hosta do well in one season! Your Climax and Brother Stefan are so large and pretty! Steve D., I am envious of your gardens! Steve, the hostas you have shown definitely look like winners! I would have to say that the "best" award would have to go to Atlantis. Not only has it grown well, but it actually has been growing in a pot (same pot) in the ground for three years! I was thinking of dividing it, but how am I going to do that? The roots may actually go round and round in the pot and out the drainage holes! I will probably dig around the pot this spring and see if I find any hosta roots growing outside the pot and work from there. You can see the pot in the picture below....See MoreUser
