Function/Reliability/Service of La Cornue CornuFe110 or AlberTine
Comments (62)We've had ours for 7 years now (pic way up above) and I do love it. HOWEVER... one side of our oven broke in September (the convection element needs to be replaced), and the part to replace it still has not come in - 4 months later we are still waiting. The warranty is 5 years, so we are out of luck with La Cornue working with us and have to rely on our local retail establishment for service work. The oven sizes are fine, unless you plan on doing a giant turkey. We've done an 18 lb turkey no problem, and I love doing roasters in it. Cleaning - the ovens have sides - top and bottom as well - that remove for cleaning so it's not a complete nightmare. But if you are used to self-cleaning ovens you may not like it. All that being said, we are overall happy with it. But if we ever need another oven, I doubt I would go with the same brand only because service has been very difficult. Good luck!...See MoreFree Shipping Code Williams Sonoma

Comments (26)I'm sure I could find something at WS, there's one in Grand Rapids that I wander through whenever I get the chance but seldom buy because it's so expensive. Maybe really good knives, and I bought my farm animal waffle iron there when they finally went on clearance. Elery left some of that copper cookware with the acorns here, but I never use them, they're too pretty, LOL. I'd love to have a couple more Calphalon hard anodized things, I love the 8 quart pot I use for jam and the 2 quart saucepan. I don't like the "everyday" pan with those two stupid handles on the sides, who the heck thought of that? I can't pick the blasted thing up and pour stuff out of it without burning myself. I asked that question a couple of times here and never got an answer, so I didn't buy one. That didn't stop Elery, though. He doesn't like it either, which is why it's here with me. Unused. As for the Le Crueset, I've never really wanted any. Elery has a couple of pieces and they're OK, but I still prefer my Lodge cast iron dutch oven, made right here in America. Never been to Sur La Table or Ikea or even Homegoods. I love Crate and Barrel in Chicago but I always take the train and I know I'd never get items back unbroken. Never been to a Kitchen Collection or Dansk outlet either. Iunderstand there's a Pfaltzgraf outlet in HOlland, about an hour and a half from me, but I've not been there yet either. Please excuse any typing errors, I'm using Ashley's laptop and I just hate it!!! Annie...See Morelove love love Williams- Sonoma
Comments (22)If you like the store then go work for it part time. I did. It was a dream come true. The people are hired because they know the merchandise and are users. You get big discounts and that is why most employees are there. Everyone is part time. Throw in your cooking stories and you will have a ball. The staff is made up of people like all of you who will become life long friends. As you see them as a sales person is truly who they are.I have been to them all over the country and I know you all agree. They knew me as a customer before I had cancer and when I got cancer and was bored they said come be with us and pick your own hours. They begged me to. I did and gave cooking demonstrations. I was so alive and happy doing that. The best customers in the world go in there and there is no pressure. I was too sick to stay but it was my decision to leave. After I was done with cancer I celebrated in many ways and one meaningful way was with them. You betcha. At this time of year I do think of my dear, dear friends who are working very hard and I go in to give them a few hundred quick kisses and hugs. I hope one of you does work for them....See More- 6 years ago
