Onyx see pics HELP quick decision!
Comments (15)Suzie, you didn't show us the chair rail. Can you mock up the chair rail, 2 and 3 rows of onyx, and some tiles on the diagonal- so we can see the proportions? As long as the chair rail is wider than the onyx I think it would be fine. And, as the bath trim and shower trim don't line up anywhere, I don't see a problem with having 3 rows on the bath, and 2 on the shower, if you want to keep 2 rows within your picture frame. I just think that because you have a fair amount of variation in your onyx mosaic tiles, that 3 rows gives a better representation of the colour than two. Two may be lost. Is your flooring the same tile (though in a larger size) as your shower tile? If it is, then for sure, you can handle 3 rows to offer some break in the colour....See MorePlastic patio chairs painted and decoupaged. Wanna see?
Comments (3)Thanks, Yugoslava and Funcolors! You've made my day. I hope this inspires others to tackle their old plastic furniture. If you do, please post pictures. Forgot to mention I drilled drainage holes in the seats. I think the newer ones drain better than my old ones did....See MoreCan you see either of these chairs in this room (Pics)
Comments (23)I love the 1st chair. We just ordered and rec'd 2 chairs from W.H. They are more the style of the 2nd chair but a bit different. I went back and forth between the two styles too. The English style arm has always been my fave and if I had a room that was just for looks I would have gone for that style. What swayed me, si that we will be using these chairs as family chairs (ie, kids draped over arms and in mom's lap reading books, etc). I just couldn't picture the English arms in that context. So make sure you also think about how you are going to be using them. Also, I prefer a t-seat for comfort (longer seat cushion), but someone shorter might find them uncomfortable. Love your fabric, but it is a bold statement. We went with the bold statement too and while I love it now, part of me is worried I will tire of it and should have maybe gone with a solid and livened it up with cushions. Before I stop rambling, I also wanted to say that we are so impressed with the WH quality and comfort, we are planning on writing a letter to the company in appreciation. I think you'll be happy with the quality, whichever you choose....See MoreNeed to match dining chairs - got any ideas? See Pics
Comments (18)My dining room table seats 10 and can fit 12 in a pinch. When not in use, there are 8 chairs around it. Knowing I'd squeeze 12 people in there on occasion, I got 12 matching chairs (windsor chairs with wide backs). I'd be much happier if I had gotten a bench or something with a much smaller back for the extra chairs. The backs of the chairs are practically locked together when I have a full house. Really, I wish I had just gotten a couple of saddle chairs (no back at all). This would work especially well for me, since at least a few of my guests are usually children. Anyway, this is a long winded way of seconding the parsons chair idea or bench idea!...See Morejck910
