Maybe check into to Super Paint too. Duration matte would be ideal, however. Don't know what's available but there are some great options from Dunn Edwards, Muralo and Diamond Vogel. Or even Pratt & Lambert Accolade. Maybe there's a local independent that carries one of these lesser known brands. There are some incredible values, treasures to be found in an independent paint store if ya know what to look for.

Well, Missy........you already know the mantra.....you can do anything you want, and you should do what works best in your own home for your own lifestyle. I leave my toaster and my coffeemaker and my knife block on my very small kitchen counters, even though decorating rules state very clearly that these things should be put away for beauty. I need my coffee, to reach for a knife, (to kill the rats in my kitchen!) and DH only cooks toast, so he needs that toast-cooker out! But there are quite a few paints that clean up quite nicely in lesser sheens than semigloss. I have satin on my bathroom walls and really would rather even have eggshell. Love the flatter finish and would rather cope with the cleaning. I don't think you have to do the semi to get a good wall finish. I even like the Ace Sensations Matte flat finish, it is now in my kitchen and wipes off nicely. Of course, I have a real backsplash so don't have to worry too much, but over by my trash can, there can be some cleanup issues where I think my DD probably throws coffee grounds against the wall! Keep in mind that you have a mess on a flat finish. Even upgrading your finish just a little will relieve that. And you are using mascara. Good for you! I think all is forgiven in pursuit of facial beauty! Red

Thanks for the feedback. That was the one I was leaning towards then my sister stopped by and said,"why not use the same green as your kitchen/DR?" So I might as well throw another into the mix. It's hard to know the true colors, looking at them as a company presents them on its website. I can say that I prefer Monorail Silver, from what I see; but only you can see this or that color in your space, with your light. I presume you tried the samples? If yes, which one you love more? If no-try the samples in your bathroom first. That's the surest way to see the representation of color. If you do the crown molding-I'd keep the ceiling the same color as the crown molding. If you weren't-I'd advice on Ice Cube, or some lighter version of your wall color. With standard/lower ceiling, you either want the less contrast with the wall as possible-or visual illusion that the ceiling is higher, by working with trim as if it was continuation of the ceiling. There might be more tricks, so I'm sharing just my limited experience. You wrote the painting starts on Monday, and today's Monday, so you already probably decided on something:) Sorry I didn't see the post... Now for the only thing that you didn't have to decide by today..orange/paprika won't clash with the blueish-grays..it will complement them. Meaning-both orange and blue gray will look really vivid on each other's background. You'll kinda underscore both these colors. Which might look really beautiful. Small spaces like bathrooms actually can carry a lot of colors-you don't spend there as much time as in bigger rooms, so you don't get tired. You are also actually using quite a restrained palette..I wouldn't worry about introducing orange, at all.
