Hi! It looks like Dover White is a warm neutral with yellow undertones to me. White trim would like nice and keep the space bright.

If you want grey or blue cabs, why not paint the open area more of a greige? I think the warm/yellow undertones of the Dover White wouldn't go well with cooler tones, though specifically with dark blue. Something like SW Agreeable Grey, BM Edgecomb Grey, BM Winds Breath might look better with grey or blue cabs.

If you want Dover White, or a similar warm white, I would go for warmer grays and perhaps stick with lighter tones as well to keep things feeling fresh. I don't know about you, but my 70's brick ranch has not so great natural light so that's something to consider as well; if your home is naturally not bright/airy, lighter paint colors would help some.

Cailin, thank you for this response. Yes, the Dover
White appears to be really showing its yellow undertones on some of the walls I
have placed samples. You are correct about the 70's ranch not having
great natural light! We are removing the wall between the LR and Kitchen
to let light in and create a feeling of space. The house (LR window) is
South/ East facing - kitchen in the back. My floors are hardwood in all
rooms but Kitchen (I will be matching the kitchen with same flooring).
Typical natural narrow oak wood found in most brick ranches in that era.
Also, we want to paint the exterior brick a darker gray, deep charcoal shutters
and we currently have a blue door (SW Briny - it may be too intense). We
are going for a cross between cottage/farmhouse with a slight nod to industrial
(legs on table, some shelving using pipes). My husband loves the white
upper/gray lower kitchen cabinets seen on so many of the Fixer Upper
shows. I might want to branch out and try a darker blue base. I
like the picture you posted. What color gray is the island?
The lighter colors you posted are nice and all look like warm tones - am
I correct? I am concerned that the color I choose for the walls does not
turn "murky". I had considered Revere Pewter but heard it could
turn murky with less light. I have to find colors for walls,
trim, doors, upper and lower cabinets.
Feels like a daunting job to me.

My builder uses Dover White and I will be painting over all of it when we move in. To me it looks tan and I prefer a white white. Here is a pic of white cabinets with the DW walls to give you an idea of what they would look like with white baseboards. The walls even make the cabinets look to be on the blue white side but they aren’t against something that is pure white.
