New Dinning Room Table
Comments (6)OK Here is the dinning room as it is now except the little brown stool in front of the trunk is passed onto a friend and no longer there. the small half round table is on the left against the cabinet. There is a rectangle drop leaf on it on the back side. A very strange table but did work for the space until this new one comes along and cuteness wins out on this one. LOL I measured the little couch cushions and they are at 18 inches just as is but when some one=me sits on them the foam cushions drop to 14 to 15 inches. Too short for a table. This is why it needs another seat cushion added and I just happen to have one up in my loft. A simple fix. I also have a board to put between the cushions so they do not drop down as far. It is under the bottom cushion now because I was sleeping on this couch when hubby was sleeping in the living room, in his recliner not ones shown, when he got so sick. I needed all the soft I could get while sleeping. with the leafs pushed in this table is only 3 inches wider than the half round one that is there so it is a simple fix to just place the new to me table against the cabinets where the half round one is. If I need more clearance to get by I can then remove the narrow table from behind the little couch. It is just an old funky drop leaf. It makes a nice landing for things I need to take with me to town when I go so I remember them or to set some thing down when coming in the door like my keys and purse. So I like to have it there. Also holds a lamp and plant in window behind couch. But if it has to go it can. I am not married to it....See MoreNew dinning room table
Comments (13)And it is gone right out from under me. The daughter to the seller said she really loved and wanted it and I am just not the kind of person to say I saw it first and then make a family mess of all of it. The lady offered me another table I am considering at half the cost making my consideration even more so to go for it. It is another vintage table in wood. Not the darling black and white enamel top. Course I could always paint that on it and put a glass sheet over all. I even have some large tempered glass sheets that might work. I forget their size. And tempered glass can not be cut to fit. The wood table is smaller than it looks It is 48 by 40 and would easily fit where the other half round table was. It is also on wheels and could be rolled over to the couch for one side seating. Four legs in the corner are an issue this way but not as much of an issue and the big center of the first table. I am really not expecting company for dinner. If it has not happened in the 8 1/2 years we have been here it is not likely to happen now. It would also make a nice work table for me behind the chairs and I could put the work table I am now using in the dinning room. It is only 27 inches wide. and the wider table would fit where the old work table is. Length on both is the same. No drawers on other wood table. Lots of thinking to do tonight on if I even want to do this. It can all go right back as it was and just forget it. Photo of the second choice table. She said ti is very sturdy just dusty from sitting out in the garage. I would clean it and paint it white....See MoreI need help on the dinning room mix match chairs and table
Comments (13)Your note to me said the “pedestals” are coral…as in real deal coral? Just trying to work with the pieces for you, as the pairing of the chairs and the coral shape are at odds. .Let’s say you used a fabric like this and painted the chairs either black or white, in a high gloss finish. Okay, not a bad combo, but the problem is now the chairs and table do not go in your dining room…everything would have to change…wall color, wall decor (not a huge problem there) and chandelier and a rug. Would the dining room then work with the rest of the house? IMO, the chairs are great…solid, quality and you can still paint them for your room. You can even keep the glass top, but the coral would have to go. It could be replaced with Chippendale base, in the style of this rattan one: eBay for $99.00! Ignore this one below…I can’t cut it out of post....See Morebrass dinning room table
Comments (2)This lovely dining table is 80” wide, so, hopefully, 2” won’t break the deal. https://www.potterybarn.com/products/avondale-dining-table/?catalogId=84&sku=448966&cm_ven=PLA&cm_cat=Google&cm_pla=Furniture%20%3E%20Dining%20Tables%20%3E%20Rectangular%20%26%20Square%20Tables&cm_ite=448966&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI5K29yePY5AIVENreCh03MAOsEAQYAiABEgKY2fD_BwE...See Moreilikefriday
